🌟Care Campaign Spotlight: Meet Cheryl Root 🌟

Cheryl is a great example of growth and dedication within our Modivcare family. Cheryl joined A&B Homecare Solutions in 2020 as a Caregiver after deciding she wanted more than a career in retail. She wanted to make a difference, especially during the height of COVID.

Starting with simpler cases, Cheryl quickly found her passion in taking on more complex clients, ensuring they had their medications, groceries, and the support they needed to stay safe at home.

Cheryl’s hard work led her to grow through multiple roles, including Caregiver of the Year in 2022, Care Coordinator in 2023, and now Employee Support Specialist. She credits mentors like Kelly Taylor for supporting her along the way.
Today, Cheryl supports both caregivers and clients while helping shape a newer role within Connecticut.

Her advice for others looking to grow?

“Go for it. Put your most effort in. I never expected to be where I am now when I applied five years ago.”

🌟Care Campaign Spotlight: Meet Clemeiry Martinez 🌟

Clemeiry is a powerful example of dedication, compassion, and growth within our CareFinders family. 💙

Her caregiving journey began in 2012, when she joined us as a caregiver after earning her HHA license. Caring for others was always her calling. She originally went to school for PCA, but after becoming a new mom and needing a more flexible schedule, she turned to home care and quickly found her purpose.

Her first week wasn’t easy. She supported several bedbound clients, stepping in with nerves but also with heart. Once she connected with her first client, everything shifted. She realized just how meaningful her work was, and she loved knowing she could bring comfort to someone who truly relied on her.

Over the years, Clemeiry continued to grow. She became a Receptionist in 2014 and soon after moved into the role she proudly holds today, a Care Coordinator. She credits leaders like Katy and Fatima for supporting and guiding her along the way.

Now, as a Care Coordinator, she loves matching the right aide with the right client and seeing the difference it makes. She’s even received letters from caregivers thanking her for believing in them, something she never takes for granted.

Her advice for anyone hoping to grow is simple:
“Always say yes, unless you truly can’t. Be willing to help, that’s what this field is all about.”

Meet Kathy, a true example of dedication, compassion, and growth within our Modivcare family. Her caregiving journey began long before she joined us, right after high school when she started working as an aide in nursing homes, supporting those in need with patience and heart.

In 2003, Kathy joined what was then Independence, stepping into the role of Coordinator. In the early days of the company, she often wore many hats, even stepping in as a caregiver herself to ensure clients always received the support they needed.

Her calling to care began early, helping her sister with spina bifida and supporting family members shaped Kathy’s lifelong passion for helping others. “It has been my life to help others,” she says, a truth that still guides her.

From Caregiver to Branch Manager of the Worcester and Attleboro offices, Kathy’s empathy and leadership have fueled her growth. Mentored by Trevor and Elaine, she now lifts others as they once lifted her, leading with compassion and ensuring her team ends each day with peace of mind.

Her advice for growth is simple and powerful:
“Be attentive, ask questions, and build trust. Nothing is out of reach if you’re willing to learn.”

🎃👻 A Spooktacular Time at Our Halloween Bash!

Our team had an absolute blast at this year’s Halloween Bash! From creative costumes to contagious laughter and plenty of sweet treats, it was a day filled with fun, teamwork, and festive spirit.

We love taking time to celebrate together! Moments like these remind us how lucky we are to have such a dedicated, joyful, and spirited team.

Our partner company Independence Healthcare Corp - Worcester branch, got into the fall spirit with a Pumpkin Decorating Contest and it was an absolute blast!

From spooky creations to adorable masterpieces, their talented team showed off incredible creativity and festive flair. It was wonderful to see everyone come together, celebrate the season, and share some laughter (with just the right amount of friendly competition 😉).

🌟 Care Campaign Spotlight: Meet Shelby Brown 🌟

Shelby has been part of our care family since 2012, when she began her journey as a Direct Care Worker with CareGivers America. Inspired by friends in the field and a family deeply rooted in healthcare, Shelby wanted to challenge herself, step outside her comfort zone, and start helping people reach their personal goals.

From those early days in 2012, Shelby’s dedication and compassion have driven her professional growth. Over the years, she has proudly held several roles: Direct Care Worker, Expert Direct Care Worker, Care Coordinator, and now Talent Acquisition Specialist for several state brands. Along the way, she was encouraged and mentored by Gene Lispi, a former regional manager who inspired her to take the leap into leadership.

Today, Shelby’s impact continues in a new way helping others begin their own caregiving journeys. In her current role, she spends her days connecting with candidates, coordinating interviews, and ensuring each office is supported with the best caregivers possible.

🌟 Care Campaign Spotlight: Meet Alisha Fassett 🌟

Alisha has been a dedicated part of our care family since 2011. She began her journey as a caregiver with CGA, inspired by a personal calling after losing her mom at a young age. Her passion for helping others started in high school while working in personal care and it only grew stronger from there.

From her very first weeks as a caregiver, navigating snowstorms and learning with compassion, to later roles as an Expert Direct Care Worker, Receptionist, Care Coordinator, and Quality Auditor, Alisha has grown into her current position as Senior Lead Care Coordinator. Alisha’s journey shows what dedication, resilience, and heart can achieve. Along the way, many of her managers have helped guide her growth.

What Alisha loves most about caregiving hasn’t changed: the companionship, the stories, and the joy of knowing she makes a difference in someone’s life. In her current role, she finds fulfillment in helping people stay in their homes, supporting caregivers, and ensuring families have the peace of mind they deserve.

Her advice for others starting their journey: “Stick it out. Some days will be hard, but hard efforts will get you far. Communication builds trust, and trust builds opportunity.”

If she could speak to her first-day self? “Girl, I never thought you’d make it this far… but if you really want to go somewhere, you can.” 🌟
