National Wear Red Day is an annual awareness event on the first Friday of February where people wear red to highlight heart disease as the #1 killer of women, encouraging awareness, conversation, and action to prevent cardiovascular disease through healthy habits and checkups, all part of the Go Red for Women movement.

Did you know nearly 50% of Black women ages 20 and older have cardiovascular disease? On , we wear red to spark a conversation about the clinical bias that often leads to undiagnosed heart conditions in Black women.
