On Thursday, April 2, 2026, Raymond Charles Shubert, age 72 of Slidell, LA passed on peacefully to be with our Lord. Raymond was a truck driver for Air Products for many years and loved to pass the time at the casino. He will be missed dearly. He is survived by his soul mate Roxanne Shubert, his son Joshua Shubert (Stephany), bonus children Terra Lynn Hepting and Lauren Michelle McAtee, his siblings; Ronald Xavier Shubert, III (Karen), Michael Wayne Shubert (Elaine), Cindy Gleason (The late Bret), and Lisa Grass (Fred), and his best friend who was like a brother to him and his partner in crime, Gary Schwandt, Sr.
He was the best uncle and Pop-Pop ever to so many who loved and knew him.

He is now running the streets of gold and reunited with his parents in Heaven, Ronald and Betty Shubert and his sister Susan Shubert Saulsberry. Funeral services for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, for 12:30 pm at Celebration Church (Calvary Baptist Church) 1615 Old Spanish Trail, Slidell, LA with visitation from 11:30 am until service time at 12:30 pm. He will be laid to rest following the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Slidell, LA. Pastor Sidney Hidalgo to be officiating.

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, our dear TC Blackwell went peacefully to Heaven to be with our Lord after 94 amazing years on this Earth. Mr. TC was a Welder for Local 60 for many years and was a faithful member of Pine Grove UPC. He proudly served our country in the United States Army in his younger years. He had a great love for the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, as well as helping his wife in the kitchen any chance he could get and having his famous fish fry’s that he loved to do often. His kind and gentle soul will be missed tremendously by all he leaves behind. TC is survived by his children Beverly Townsend (Allen) and TC Douglas Blackwell (Marlene), his brothers Prentiss Blackwell and Whitt Blackwell, 6 grandchildren; Tonya Crosby (Bubba), Angela Clement (Jody), Chad Blackwell (Deanie), Megan Josephson (Andrew), Emily Decker, and Jonathan Dunn. 11 great grandchildren Madison, Daylyn, Shelbey, Karley, Toby, Drew, Tristan, Destiny, DJ, Lauren, and Lydia, and his great great grandchildren; Keziah, Aubrey, Allie, Meme, Leilani, Yezaiah and Eloise. Although we will miss him here on Earth, it comforts our hearts in knowing he is now in Heaven and reunited with the love of his life for 69 years Imojean Blackwell, his parents Neil and Sara Blackwell, and his sisters Eunice Craddock and Gertrude Blackwell.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 12:30 pm with visitation from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home, Pearl River, LA. Interment to follow at Charter Oak Cemetery, Pearl River, LA. Pastor Billy Trusley to be officiating.

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, Brenda Lynn Passman, age 66 of Pearl River, LA passed away peacefully to be with our Lord in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was an amazing woman who worked as a para for St. Tammany Parish School Board for many years, she loved turtles and all things purple, and loved spending time with her family, but her grandchildren were her pride and joy and they brought so much light into her life. She is survived by her husband and love of her life for the last 47 years, James Gary Passman Sr., her mother Selena Barringer, her children James Gary Passman, Jr. (Ashley) and Jennifer Caudill (Don), her brothers Allen Barringer, Jr. and Jim Barringer (Roxanne), her grandchildren Isabella Passman, Lillie Caudill, and London Caudill, and her amazing neighbors whom she adored as well. She is now reunited with her dad Allen Barringer. Her loving and nurturing presence will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, Jimmy Roland Williams, age 83, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
Mr. Jimmy served in the United States Army and was a retired mechanic with Lockheed Martin and a member of First Baptist Church in Pearl River, Louisiana. He was a God fearing person that loved working in his yard on his tractor with his chickens and his bees.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bettye Hall Williams; his son, Brian Williams (Michelle); and six siblings: Joyce Faye Gazave, Mae Polk, Raymond Williams, Gail Marie Niner (Roland), Shirley Crawford (Wilson), and Bruce Williams. Mr. Jimmy also leaves behind two grandchildren, Joshua Lee Williams (Julie) and Gabrielle Williams and a Great-grandson, Owen Williams and his extended family Ronald Crawford (Erica), Ryan Crawford, Brooke “River” Crawford and his angel Ryleigh “Angel” Crawford.
Preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ruby Williams, a sister, Gloria Ann Henley and a Brother, Walter Lee Williams.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 30 , 2026 at Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Inc., located at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy. 41, Pearl River, Louisiana.

George Wayne Whitfield, he served in the United States Navy, born July 15, 1948, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Adele Whitfield; and his siblings, Elton Jr., Faye, Bernice, Catherine, Clydine “Jean” (Al) Willie (Dale), Ray (Rita), and Janice.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy Whitfield (Kitten) and Ricky Whitfield (Nicole); his sister, Florence; Sisters in law; Dale and Rita; his beloved grandchildren, Hunter, Carson, Isabella, and Rock; his former wife, Darrilyn Whitfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Committal service will be held on April 10, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Slidell, La.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Wanda Rose Silvey, age 74 of Slidell, LA passed on peacefully to be with our Lord. Wanda was a graduate of St. Joseph High out of New Orleans, LA., and later went on to manage AMF Bowling Centers for numerous years. She was an amazing woman who loved gardening, but who truly lived for spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be missed tremendously. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, the love of her life for the last 42 years Rickey Silvey, her children Daniel Jochum, Jennifer Jochum, and Christine Caminita, step daughter Kelley Silvey, her grandchildren Joshua Jochum (Marylou), Jacob Jochum, Daniel Jochum, Jr., and Gianni Caminita, great grandchildren Maci, Sylvia, and Jaycie Jochum, daughter in law Ruthie Jochum, and a host of nieces, Cousins and friends. She is now reunited with her parents Preston Thompson and Thelma Delpidio, and her sister Cindy Machutas. Thomas was a former mechanic with a deep passion for restoring Corvettes and classic cars. His dedication to bringing old vehicles back to life was one of his greatest joys.
He is survived by his son, Michael Alexander; his significant other, Amy LeBouef; and his sister, Tracy Diane Alexander.

Johnny Lee Marshall, 57, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Galveston, Texas. His life ended far too soon, leaving a deep ache in the hearts of those who loved him.
Johnny was born on October 26, 1969, at the Warren Barracks Army Base in Bamberg, Germany, where his father was stationed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Ed Marshall and Janice Marshall Warren, his brother Kevin Hardin and his beloved niece Hailee Marshall.
Johnny is survived by his sister, Shannon Marshall Williams, and her husband, Patrick, who will forever cherish his memory. He will also be deeply missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family spanning from Texas to Louisiana.
Johnny will be laid to rest alongside his father, mother, and niece at Williams Funeral Home, reunited with those who went before him.
His family and friends will remember him for his humor, his heart, and the way he left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
They family will have a celebration of life in honor of Johnny at a later date. Donations to Williams Funeral Home are welcome to help cover burial cost to bring him home and lay him to rest in Hickory Memorial Gardens Cemetery next to the rest of his family.

Laura Myra Holifield Malley, born July 11, 1954, a lifelong resident of Pearl River, La passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026 after a long battle with congestive heart failure. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, a woman of deep faith, and a caring presence to all who knew her. A dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Pearl River, LA., her life was centered around her family and her church. She never missed an opportunity to celebrate the people she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Darrell Malley Sr.; her parents, Vander and Margaret Holifield; and her siblings Mary Sawyer and Richard Holifield. She is survived by her two sons, Darrell “DJ” Malley, Jr. (Sara) and Stephen Malley (Lesli); her grandchildren, Brett Malley, Bo Malley, Claire Malley, and a fourth grandchild expected in July; her siblings Allen Holifield and Leonard Holifield; and her lifelong friend Cindy Stevens who was like a sister to her; along with extended family and many dear friends. Although she will forever be missed and cherished by all she leaves behind, we are comforted in knowing she is now in the presence of our Lord and savior and no longer suffering from her bodily ailments.

Marilyn Vaughn Crosby went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2026. She was born on January 10, 1955, in Covington, Louisiana. She was the daughter of Helen and Hubert Vaughn of Lacombe, La. Marilyn spent her childhood in Lacombe, Louisiana, where she continued to live and lovingly raised her two children, Steven and Cassandra.
For many years, Marilyn was a devoted member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pearl River, Louisiana. She built her career in accounting at a cable company in Slidell, Louisiana, where she formed lasting friendships with her colleagues.
Marilyn had a passion for plants and cherished her extensive angel collection. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, friends, and especially her two grandchildren. She also had a deep affection for her two cats, Lit Bit and Rigley, considering them her babies.
Marilyn’s memory will be forever treasured by her son, Steven Crosby (Tonya); her grandchildren, Jaiden Elizabeth Branton and Seth Eric Branton; her son-in-law, Jon Branton; her brother, Michael Vaughn; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Crosby Branton; her parents, Hubert Vaughn, Henry and Helen Gomez; and her brother, Hubert Vernon Vaughn.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11:30 AM under the direction of Williams Funeral Home, at Crowe Cemetery, Azalea Lane, Lacombe, Louisiana.
