Jerry Martinez, Base Medical Manager at AeroCare 4 in Seminole, Texas, has been honored as September's Flight Paramedic of the Month. We couldn't be prouder!

Jerry demonstrated outstanding leadership and dedication by assisting his flight team with a critical ground transport of an unstable patient. What's even more impressive is that Jerry was off duty at the time and just happened to be at the base when the request came in. His commitment to patient care and his team truly exemplifies the spirit of GMR/Med-Trans/AeroCare.

Reeves County Emergency Service Districts Nos. 1 & 2 thank you for helping those in need, not only in the county but the state too.

Reeves County Emergency Services District No. 1 has been deployed to assist with the ongoing flood response efforts in Central Texas.

Engineer Bobby Raynes has been activated by the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) to serve as a Heavy Equipment Boss. In this vital role, Engineer Raynes will oversee the safe and effective operation of heavy machinery, including bulldozers and excavators, supporting rescue, recovery, and infrastructure efforts in the affected areas.

We are proud to support our fellow Texans in times of need. Please keep all first responders and affected communities in your thoughts.

AeroCare will be hosting a Celebration of Life in honor of our dear friend and colleague, Shirly Scholz. This event is a wonderful opportunity for us to gather and celebrate the remarkable life and contributions of Shirley.

The celebration will take place on July 13, 2025, at 6:00 PM, at the AeroCare Hangar, located at 6006 N. Cedar, Lubbock, TX. For your convenience, parking will be available at the Silent Wings Museum.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news of the passing of Shirley Scholz. Shirley was a true pioneer in the air medical industry and played an instrumental role in the development of Air EMS rule in Texas and New Mexico. Her tireless dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence were pivotal in establishing AeroCare's reputation for outstanding service, a legacy that continues to guide us to this day.

Shirley's contributions have left an indelible mark on our industry and our organization. We owe much of our success and high standards to her leadership and relentless pursuit of excellence. Her impact on our team and the countless lives she touched through her work will always be remembered and cherished.

Our deepest condolences go out to Shirley's family and friends during this difficult time.

Rest easy, "Momma Bear." Your legacy lives on in all of us.
