As the world counts down tonight, many of us are still working - standing with families in grief, honoring the dead, documenting the truth, and carrying stories that never leave our hearts.

To every medicolegal death investigator, coroner, medical examiner team member, transporter, first responder, funeral professional, morgue tech, pathologist, and anyone who stands with dignity beside the dead and compassion beside the living - thank you.

You showed up this year.

You carried stories.

You bore witness to grief.

You made sure people were treated with dignity when it mattered most.

As we step into a new year, may we remember:

We matter.

Our work matters.

And we deserve support, recognition, and care, too.
