At 20:51 last night, Peekskill EMS was dispatched to Sprout Brook Rd for a confirmed working structure fire. 75B3, 7506 (rehab) and car 7511 ( Chief Steve Sniffen) responded to provide medical and rehab services for Fire units on scene.

Yesterday, PCVAC’s Youth Corps held its monthly training. This month’s topic was splinting and immobilization. YC members learned about different splinting methods and were given the opportunity to practice this vital skill.

The Youth Corps program gives teens ages 14-17 the opportunity to break into the medical field and learn about EMS operations and participate in 911 calls. All training is provided and is free. If you or someone you know are interested please apply through the link in the bio or at www.pcvac.org

Eddie joined PCVAC as a Youth Corps member in 2024 and since has graduated to Senior Corps. He’s one of our dedicated Youth Corps Advisors all while going to EMT school and being a member of CVFD. Eddie is one of the kindest people and we are very lucky to have to him a part of our organization!

On Thursday afternoon, 75B1 crew came across a vehicle with a flat tire on Route 9 southbound. Without hesitation, the crew stopped, activated emergency lights for safety, and assisted the driver with changing the flat tire.

Incidents like this are a reminder that serving the community goes beyond emergencies — it’s about being there when help is needed. Thank you to 75B3, Peekskill Police Department, and the NYS HELP truck for their support and teamwork.
