Happy Resurrection Holiday's Big Apple Feature: Walmart (Mohegan Lake) is being remodeled....the Store is welcoming all to come out to its new grand opening which will be held on May 29th, 2026 at 8 am. .....it will be big....their Regional Directors will be present + area leaders + food vendors + If you are a nonprofit Walmart has a Sparks Good program (where it donates back to many community orgs - check out their website 4 more info)...... Thanks so much former Peekskill Mayor Andre Rainey for helping to coordinate and serve as DJ for this epic event...which sounds so exciting on the epic levels.....Keep up the outstanding job Store Manager Carmen + Staff it was truly my honor to meet you each yesterday (Sat). Final Week to Apply!
The African American Men of Westchester, Inc. (AAMW) is proud to announce the 2026 Albertina Bloom Scholarship Grants. Albertina Bloom, a dedicated teacher and White Plains resident, left a bequest to The New York Community Trust to provide financial assistance to Westchester County students entering their first year of college.
Award Details
Four (4) scholarships available
$2,000 per recipient
Students graduating high school in 2026
Students must be entering their first year of college in Fall 2026
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must demonstrate:
📚 Promising educational potential
🌟 Good character
💰 Financial need to pursue a college education
How to Apply
