Today the Mississippi House of Representatives passed HB 1303 to give APRNs full practice authority. So now it will go to the Senate. I would like to thank Representative Donnie Scoggin (an APRN) for his hard work to get this out of committee and through the House. Also, to Teresa Malone and MNA for staying there to keep our voices heard. And thanks to the more than 70 Representatives that voted “yea” for quality health care for Mississippians.

I had an enjoyable time with the nurses attending UMMC's CE update for nurses. I always enjoy sharing what I've learned about wounds. Thanks and applause to those who put this CE opportunity together and for the invitation to speak about wound documentation.
