Last week, Surf Med attended an AHCA meeting in Okeechobee, FL, where the Florida Rural Health Transformation Program was discussed in detail. This important initiative focuses on improving access to care in rural communities through expanded services, smarter technology, and a stronger health care workforce.

Programs like this are critical for addressing long-standing barriers faced by rural patients — from limited specialty care to workforce shortages — and Surf Med is proud to stay actively involved in conversations that help shape the future of health care delivery in Florida.
