They are not the same thing.
Suppression looks like ignoring, minimizing, or pushing feelings aside. Over time, those emotions don’t disappear — they build pressure.
Stability, on the other hand, involves acknowledging what you feel and choosing how to respond.
It sounds subtle, but the difference is powerful.
Stability says: “I can tolerate this feeling.” “I can pause.” “I can choose my response.”
Suppression says: “This feeling shouldn’t be here.”
