This past weekend, our team at Behavioral Initiatives was proud to participate in the Krista-Marie Touch of Love 5K Run in Pembroke Pines in support of autism awareness. 💙

It was incredibly special to come together with families, supporters, and community members to help raise awareness and funds for a cause that is so closely connected to the children and families we serve every day.

Events like this remind us how powerful community connection can be. Every step taken helps amplify understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals on the autism spectrum.

Today our learners practiced color matching and sorting by placing cereal onto their rainbow sheets, building visual discrimination, attention, and fine motor skills along the way. They enjoyed their hard work with a tasty reward at the end!

Behavioral Initiatives is a family-owned business, which is owned and managed by husband and wife team, Edmund and Sarah Bartlett. We started in 2009 as a sole practitioner operation named after Sarah I Bartlett with the goal of leveraging her many years of experience and knowledge to support the behavioral and developmental needs of those diagnosed with Autism and related disorders in South Florida.

Her passion to support this community was ignited in 2001 while completing an internship which introduced her to ABA. She saw first-hand the challenges faced by those diagnosed with Autism and the positive impact of ABA. She immediately fell in love, knowing that this was not just a job, but a calling. Since then, she has committed to the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, and the advancement and skillful application of it. In 2012, we decided to form an agency that would support current and aspiring ABA professionals who share the same passion and drive for excellence in this field. Two years later, we would change the name to Behavioral Initiatives.

We pride ourselves on being a group of dedicated professionals providing quality Applied Behavior Analysis services to individuals with various behavioral and developmental disorders.
