On this day, Jerrie Mock completed a historic journey lasting 29 days and covering over 36,000 km.

She took off from Columbus, Ohio in a small Cessna 180 called “Spirit of Columbus” and crossed 4 continents, flying completely alone.

With no GPS and only basic instruments, she faced storms, long ocean crossings, and technical challenges most pilots would avoid.

Before her, Amelia Earhart had attempted a similar flight… and never returned.

Jerrie Mock did.
And in doing so, she proved that the impossible could be completed.

The Victorian Prophecy of Wednesday Addams 🥀🖤
Long before she was a household name, her destiny was inked into the pages of a 19th-century nursery rhyme.

In 1838, the author Anna Eliza Bray published a poem that predicted a somber fate for those born in the middle of the week. While other children were promised "grace" and "beauty," the poem declared:

"Wednesday's child is full of woe."

When Charles Addams was searching for a name for his pale, silent daughter in the 1960s, he reached back into this Victorian gloom. He didn't just give her a name; he gave her a 180-year-old legacy of melancholy.
