One of the most common questions we get:
“Why are you checking my legs before an adjustment?” 👀
Here’s the why 👇
As chiropractors, we’re not guessing—we’re analyzing how your nervous system is functioning in real time.
A leg length inequality (LLI) isn’t about your bones being different lengths. It’s a functional change driven by the nervous system.
When there’s stress, tension, or what we call a subluxation affecting the spine, it can create changes in muscle tone and balance… which shows up as one leg appearing shorter than the other when you’re lying down.
👉 It’s feedback from your body.
We use that change as a measurement tool to help:
• Locate areas of neurological stress
• Determine where to adjust
• See how your body responds after the adjustment
And here’s the cool part—
When the right adjustment is delivered, we often see that imbalance improve or clear… right there in real time.
That’s your body showing us that communication is improving and tension is releasing 🙌
It’s not about chasing leg length—
it’s about listening to the nervous system and using objective indicators to guide care.
Because the goal isn’t just to “crack” something…
it’s to help your body function better, from the inside out 💫
