Pendleton Area Saddle Club

The Pendleton Area Saddle Club was formed in 1989 by a group of horse lovers who wanted to meet others who shared an interest in horses and to promote horseback riding as a family sport through organized activities. Through the years, the purpose of the Club has grown to include promoting and practicing trail stewardship through education and related projects and to address public land access issues which affect horse-related activities.

The PASC had a great turnout for our special rider’s day event today. It’s always a very touching and special event every year for the special needs community. Smiles all around! A big shout out to all the volunteers and handlers that made today possible!❤️

Several members of the PASC went camping at Watson Mill Bridge State Park this weekend. The weather was beautiful, the horses were great and the fellowship was wonderful! We are so blessed to get to do what we love!

A few members of the PASC worked hard out on the trails today at McCalla Trails. It was a very productive day!

Several members of the PASC picked up trash along the roads of T. Ed Garrison and had a day ride afterward. It was a great day!

We sure did have a fantastic, fun night at the PASC Christmas party tonight. Lots of delicious food, belly laughs, fellowship, and a fun dirty Santa game. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous New Year with a lot of saddle time!

PASC had a wonderful fall camping trip at Watson Mill Bridge State Park in GA this weekend. 7 members camped and 4 more joined us for a day ride on Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect. Not only was it a beautiful weekend for riding, but the crisp evening temps couldn’t have been better for hanging out around the campfire.

Five PASC members did an impromptu workday at Whetstone where they cleared 10.5 miles of trail. It was an absolutely perfect day weather wise and we were able to get a good bit done. We’d like to give a big shout out to Misty and Chad from Townsville. We ran into them on the trail and they didn’t hesitate to roll up their sleeves and swamped right along with us for the last 3 miles.

PASC’s fall picnic was a wonderful day spent with our horse friends, their families, and fantastic food. The weather couldn’t have been better!

Another successful trash pickup and day ride at Fant’s Grove. Thank you to all of the dedicated volunteers who showed up today to help keep this beautiful area clean!

12 PASC members enjoyed a long weekend at 4B Campground at the Uhwarrie National Forest in Troy, NC. We put some chest-building miles on the horses and enjoyed views of Badin Lake and the Nifty Rock outcropping. We survived some evening thunderstorms and ate wayyyy too much good food. We are so thankful for good friends, fine horses, and beautiful trails to travel together.

A few PASC members and some guests headed up for a dayride at DuPont. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Such a fun, beautiful ride with some wonderful people and horses. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
