There’s a lot of talk about dry needling right now in the sports world—and not for a good reason! At Radiant Sun, we never dry needle, meaning we safely use acupuncture needles following Traditional Chinese Medicine principles with the appropriate level of training. (Which is a lot!)

In fact, dry needling as it's being discussed lately is in many ways the opposite of acupuncture. TCM (what we practice) follows a deep understanding of how acupuncture affects your whole body, and your acupuncturist has years of acupuncture-specific education and is licensed in how to follow TCM principles.

You can read all about the difference between non-TCM dry needling and acupuncture on our blog:

The air is cold, the days are short and nature is reminding us to slow down. 🍂

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this time of year marks the shift from outward, active Yang energy to inward, restorative Yin energy. Which means it’s time to support your body with warming, nourishing foods that help it adjust to the season. Think: oats, carrots, leeks, and a little ginger or cinnamon to keep the chill away.
