Good Morning! It is a late non clinical day from my couch. I have spent time enjoying classic hits, scrolling Facebook with a few cups of coffee.
All good things come to an end and mine crashed when I came across a post - maybe it was an ad - but I was DISTRESSED AND FREAKED OUT! So much so that I wonder if this Word of the Day will disappear and not get posted.
The post was a video of me with a youngster, and me making the heart sign with my hands - that Was Not Done By Me! It must have been an AI thing, or some ad for using it! I was immediately DISTRESSED AND FREAKED OUT.
I am not important enough for anyone to want to create a video of me doing anything - but it looked so real - and I am not happy about it. I did a screen capture (if it shows up). There was a time when people would say ‘seeing is believing’ but that may not be true with the growth of AI - which I think is dangerous - and why my Word of the Day is DISTRESSED AND FREAKED OUT!

Good Morning! I apologize for not posting yesterday … I decided to leave that task to AI and mentioned it while I was walking around my house. Well, so much for all of my devices actually listening to me, and the all powerful AI couldn’t come up with a Word!
Today I am a little Wordless also. I am waaaay worn out from the week, and have lost my perk. So I needed an idea and went to my dictionary trick - three flips and all bad Words … dark and depressing.
So my Word of the Day is TOMORROW, just like Annie ‘I will love TOMORROW and have a better day!

Good Morning! Not much happening for me this morning. I think that I may be just a bit FRUMPY this morning. Not too awful motivated, no real focus, but not upset at anything I’m particular.
Bird feeder was still full, coffee delicious, warm slippers - I should be all set - but I am FRUMPY.
Maybe something will shake me out of this dullness at the old Toothbarn - it usually does! So my not too interesting (and likely made up) Word of the Day is FRUMPY.

Good Morning! This old dentist was up a bit later than usual watching the Super Bowl. Game was good, snacks and chicken chilli - great, commercials poor, and I missed halftime - cleaning up kitchen.
Well the feeder was empty this morning, and I went out ro retrieve and refill in the quiet dark - and heard CRUNCHY STEPS. There is something so distinct about the sound of footsteps on the snow in very cold conditions, which I call CRUNCHY STEPS.
So as a public announcement: when you hear CRUNCHY STEPS - it is still cold out there - be prepared before going out …
or fo back in and rewrap for the conditions!

Good Morning! This old guy is about to zip off to gym in the Chilly morning air.
Speaking of Chilly - yesterday I made a slow cooker of CHICKEN CHILLI for the Super Bowl. (Wow I remember when the NFL copy righted the name Super Bowl … I wonder if I will get a fine).
So CHICKEN CHILLI is my Word of the Day. I hope that if you want to, you also have fun snacks, and can enjoy the SupwrBowl (oops … probably another fine), experience - commercials and all with family and friends.

Good Morning! I have had a lazy Saturday morning. For no reason at all I popped up at 5:00 again. Brrrr, my heat was still down for the night, but I managed to escape the warmth of my flannel kitties to see what was happening in the FROZEN TUNDRA!
Sunporch is more of an attached walk in freezer, so it was coffee on my old couch. No yard work for me today … see Word of the Day - FROZEN TUNDRA as to why.
So I will find some Indoor jobs - there are many to choose from.
Our weather guessing friends on radio and TV say that the temperature of 0 degrees now will be dropping as wind whips up … If you can stay inside and stay safe. I have had Frostbite and it is no joke … at first you feel the cold on exposed skin … then you don’t … and it is too late!
So my Word of the Day is FROZEN TUNDRA - stay inside if you can.

Here is a non word of the day rant. The Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres management have decided to sever ties with what has been for a long time - the flagship radio station WGR-AM 550.
I read a bunch of bla bla bla about protecting the brand, and in-house control - it is about money.
I have followed the Bills and Sabres through wins and losses since I was a little boy - on WGR. Yes, over the years I have purchases many tickets, shirts and hat too.
‘Rich guys’ - that station helped build your brand, and kept us engaged during other broadcasts for which we continues to purchase txs hats and shirts. The station was synonymous with the station.
I can see a near future where’for a small addition fee’ you can buy whatever app will let you hear some part about the team, and maybe for another small fee you can watch the games - etc etc. Mr Pagula aren’t you wealthy enough? Third yacht?
Buffalo is … and forever will be the home of Friendly Neighbors … to bad our teams won’t be able to be covered by the local station, with local workers that have local families to feed - opps they will for a small fee.

Good Morning! I have had a slow go …. Ok really a no go start to a non clinical day. No alarm set and I was a late arrival to the awake world.
I am very well rested, but low on motivation. I didn’t even turn on the radio … just sitting on my old couch drinking (Mom’s favorite) ‘Black Magic’ coffee. I forgot to run dish washer last night and coffee pot needed a bath - so Black Magic in the Keurig (with girly creamer of course.
Well ‘no go’ is not a good Word of the Day, and I just didn’t have one … until I looked out in the backyard! DEERBIRDS!
Yes those sneaky, nighttime (could have been early morning today) marauders hit my feeder again! How do you know? You might ask! Well, first off - the feeder was full when I walked Rhonda home last night … and totally empty this morning. Secondly, very suspicious hoofed tracks - with moderately sized round poops (yes I said poops!) in the snow near the tracks! Thirdly - and the most decisive - deer drool encrusted on the feeder itself! I am a dentist - and I know my drool!
So, to quote Toby Keith in ‘Courtesy of the Red White and Blue’ - “The Battle will rage” I have added more ‘spice’ to the mixture.
So DEERBIRDS are my word of the day - hope you like the Spice boys … no wait … I hope you don’t like the spice - isn’t there something in Rhonda’s yard that looks tasty? (Don’t tell her that I said that he he he)

Good Morning! Just a quick Word of the Day before I have to zoom off to the old Toothbarn.
Yesterday, I struggled with work volume vs project completion (and old guy tired). I was so whiney that I would be a satellite office for Lisa’s liquor barn!
A little bit of (still evil) paperwork doesn’t compare what so many people, and some of my great friends have been dealing with. My friend Margaret has been fighting stupid cancer (it doesn’t get a capital letter - because I Hate it). I know that all I can do is pray for my friend (yes I believe in the power of prayer, but want her suffering to end now with complete recovery - a Big Ask).
Well this morning, I decided to fetch
the PERK-UP CARDS! Some days when the clouds seem a little thicker - a (really silly) letter by a somewhat crazy old dentist can give you a laugh. (Something that I have a liitle talent for).
So today my Word of the Day is PERK-UP CARDS or just PERK UP - you don’t need special cards, just a pen and paper to make someone’s day a liitle better. The costs of stamps continue to rise, but a small price to pay for a needed smile (you don’t even have to include silly drawings).
When I was alone in college - I relished my trip to the basement of Goodyear hall to see if I had any mail … the joy of a letter is something I never forget!

Good Morning! I have been wearing out a lot faster than I used to … and desperately needed a perk up. Yesterday, I got just what I needed in the form of an email from my wizard Graphic Designer Brien.
Brien has been working on our new office logo. Over the years, I have enjoyed my ‘Smiling Tooth’ logo … and you long termers may remember when I made my monthly Newsletters with different alliterations … pumpkin tooth, football tooth, Santa tooth etc, but it was time to fresh up.
This new fresh logo design that has me so excited, just happens to be my Word of the Day as in HOME-RUN BRIEN!
I have been hit by more baseballs than I have hit … so I am not a good reference for a HOME-RUN, but BRIEN sure is!
Ok Doc … where is it?!!! Well I think somewhere this month will be the official unveiling (he he he - he builds the anticipation) … for today is the picture of the proud old Dad and the fabulous Graphic Designed - who hit the HOME-RUN will have to do (I am the one with the white hair)

Good Morning … well I started thinking about my Word of the Day this Morning … but my rambunctious clock raced to ‘time to go’ time while I was still paying bills.
So I grabbed my well stuffed, trusty SADDLEBACK LEATHER BRIEFCASE that Brien gave me many years ago!
At that time Brien said that SADDLEBACK LEATHER products are guaranteed for 100 years! I still have a way to go to test the guarantee … but so far my BRIEFCASE is the same as when I got it.
So SADDLEBACK LEATHER BRIEFCASE is my somewhat late Word of the Day!

Good Morning! I should be well rested after the weekend … but I don’t feel it. Last night I woke up about every TWO hours … Ugg I looked at the clock and wondered why.
Well maybe because I finished TWO shelf projects over the weekend. Or that I flipped my calendar to February - month TWO. Or that it is day TWO of month TWO!
Of course it could be that I will be fixing a TOOth or Two today. Ha ha ha!
… and that is why TWO is my Word of the Day.
