Sky High Ranch Sky High Ranch is a small private boarding and training facility in Penngrove. With proper care and trust, you and your horse can do anything. Call for pricing.

Sky High Ranch specializes in basic horsemanship, ground work, problem horses, obstacle navigation, balance conditioning, stretching and rehabilitation. Caryn earned her Equine Bodyworker Certification in 1998 through equineology, and has completed various other courses such as, Equine Kineiso Taping, Acupuncture, Bach Flower Therapy, Stretching, Rehabilitation and Massage to name a few. We believe in slow and correct training whether starting a colt, working with problem horses or tuning up a broke one. Starting from the ground up, we make sure there aren't any physical challenges inhibiting your horse from succeeding, and we cover any "holes" which may have been missed along the way in training. (well, almost anything :)

Sky High Ranch is located on 5 acres in beautiful Penngrove, with two barns, pastures, wash rack, round pen, year round arena and obstacle course. We provide full training, lessons and boarding.

“Arnie” our CHANGE program horse is coming along nicely!! He is so friendly, sweet, and quiet, but we don’t think he has had much time under saddle. I’ve been fortunate to have one of my “now grown up” barn kids to help me put the first couple rides on this guy. Emily graduated from Feather River College last year with her BS in Equine and Ranch Management, and I’m helping her put those c**t starting classes to use! Emily has been a great help, with her soft feel and quiet hands. We are happy to have her back at the barn with us!

We are excited to see where Arnie ends up. Keep your eyes peeled for updates from us and the CHANGE program.

Proper groundwork is so important, that most “problems” people have with their horses, can be solved just by going back to the ground to settle their brain, gain respect and teach them how to move their body in the way we need them to.

CHANGE program is at it again! We are lucky enough to help get these two horses started under saddle, to prepare them for finding their forever homes. “Oreo” and “Arnie” will be up for adoption in the next couple months….. check in here or with the CHANGE programs page for updates!
