As the federal government shutdown continues, families across the nation are facing even more uncertainty since SNAP funding was suspended on November 1st. According to , 800,000 New Jersey residents rely on SNAP to help put food on the table:

- Nearly half are children,
- One-third are individuals with disabilities, and
- One in five is over 60 years old.

If you’re in a position to help, please reach out or donate to our local food pantries. We’ll also be collecting pantry items for the Hopewell Valley Mobile Food Pantry each week beginning 11/9.

Most Needed Items:

- Shelf-Stable Milk (ie Parmalat)
- Cooking Oil
- Canned Chicken
- Reduced-Sodium Soups & Stews
- Peanut Butter

💗 National Mammography Day is on Friday, October 17 💗

We're thrilled to announce that we're participating in RWJUH Hamilton's 2nd Annual Paint the Town Pink this year! Stop by Pure Blossom in Pennington on Friday, October 17, and we'll be donating 1o o|o of all proceeds to the Cancer Center at RWJUH Hamilton to support their amazing cancer care programs and ongoing research.

According to the American Cancer Society, the breast cancer death rate has dropped by 44% since 1989, thanks to earlier detection and advancements in treatment. While breast cancer is more common in women, it can affect anyone. If you haven’t had a conversation with your doctor about your personal risk factors or family history, now’s a good time to start.
