I want to expand on the new job we have open to add more clarity. Legend Medical has an Education Division that creates and builds custom Nurse Kits that are used by nursing students all across the country. In 2024 we have seen massive expansion that is forcing us to move to two shifts. Due to the seasonal nature we use college and high school temporary employees in the summer and winter breaks but also add full-time positions because as we grow the "busy seasons" continue to get closer together. The regular shift is currently 8A to 4P and the new second shift will be 3P to 11P.
The job more specifically is the assembly of these custom kits. The kits are completely custom therefore none of the schools are the same. We use detailed spreadsheets to build the kits. There are mostly small, lightweight assembly requirements with minimal heavy lifting. Much of the work is done while seated. Much of the work is done in a temperature controlled environment. There may be brief and occasional trips to the attached warehouse which is heated but not air-conditioned. The work is not difficult but does require counting and close attention to detail.
The job is a good introduction to business and good for you parents wallets as your child will make their own money. We also can use this as an internship which some majors require fro graduation.
More specifically if you have or know a student who wants to be an RN, an LPN, a CNA, a PA or any medical based major this job is a no-brainer! This gives the student a leg up on other students, because it gives them an understanding of expectations of their current or future education, especially lab!
Worse case scenario and those plans don't work out, the knowledge and experience they will gain at Legend opens them to long term employment here at Legend and with Legend's customers and contacts.
Please feel free to share this and even more so put the pressure on those you know who could benefit from this and put them in contact with me and I will connect them with HR and the Education Division Manager. That may sound complicated but rest assured we do make this process very easy. We just need the introduction.
Thank you all in advance for the help in finding these applicants!
