LONG POST ALERT BUT I NEED HELP!!!!!!!Enough is enough! I have not heard my Child's voice in 3 weeks and have not been able to visit since September.He has severe mental issues that He's been dealing with since the age of 3. The physical health problems only started when they put Him on phyc meds up the dosage,down the dosage take the meds away then start over.I started calling expressing my concerns then this happens.They cutoff all communication.I've called and spoke with medical, mental health,The Sergeant, The Lieutenant, The Commander and the County commissioners office and I'm not getting any where. All they say is that he is fine. My Son and I are really close so no He's not fine.He wouldn't just not call me and why can't I visit? I schedule at home visits that cost 8.00.He never appears on the screen I have not been refunded at all.I'm not talking about 5 or 6 visits.Its way more than that.I had a visit scheduled for tonight at 8pm.He never appeared I called visitation and master control and I still didn't get to visit. The reason I kept scheduling is because they assured me that I would be able to visit.The Commander and the Lieutenant.I've left messages for the Captain but haven't heard from Him.This is literally weighing on my heart.My heart is only beating 40-44 beats per min.They want to do open heart surgery but I will not get admitted to any hospital until I talk to and lay eyes on my Child.I need everybody and anybody to call the Escambia County jail and help me find out what's going on with my son. You might say why I waited 3 weeks, think about it. Help me help my Son.Contact anybody and everybody in hopes that someone will get involved.

The Mental Health System failed my Son Lahorace Pickett.Now the Judicial system is trying to bury Him.

My Sons mental health is deteriorating fast.He is no longer talking.I will be updating this page throughout the night bringing yall up to speed.He is an inmate at escambia county jail and is not getting the proper medical treatment.I have not posted anything in a while in fear of retaliation against my Son.But If God be for us who can be against us.?

Part 4 of 2 I thought for sure He was about to get the help he needed.

On July 18 2019 after the police was called to the car dealership they ended up taking Him to Lakeview to get Him checked out.They checked him out and again said he didn't need to be baker acted.I went up there and told them what was going on they let me speak with my Son this time my son was really depressed angry and hurt by the post he was seeing.I kept reminding him that our Lord and savior will handle them.I said look Son don't worry about them.I said do this for your kids stay here over night see a doctor in the morning so you can get your meds.He didn't wanna stay so I started talking about his kids and how they need him to get well.I then asked Him if he wanted to accept the Lord into His heart as His savior he said yes in ready.He accepted Christ right then and there at Lakeview and agreed to stay.Thats when he said ok Mama I'm gonna do it for my kids.At that point he voluntarily admitted Himself.I told him to be truthful and tell the doctor everything so that he can get back on track.At this point I just knew they would keep him until he was stable.I made a post I was truly relieved.I just knew that this was gonna be a new beginning but I was so wrong... to be continued

July 18 2019 My Son was on fb and started seeing post about Him.He was really depressed bout it.I told Him to pay them no mind and that it was the devil trying to get Him to snap.He made a post about it.Here is the original post.This is the morning of going to the mercedes benz dealership.I know yall was wondering what was in the bag right?He had 4 bottles of water and some olive oil.He told me he anointed Himself and that His dream car was paid in full.He kept saying he needed to go to church.He got dressed gathered the items and headed out.Now we are getting ready to really to down hill.To be continued....

Part 2 of 2 still in 2019
Second trip to the hospital.I was told again that he could not be baker acted because He was not suicidal or homicidal.I explained to them what was going on and again he was discharged.That same night I took Him to Adult stabilization Unit.Same thing they could not baker act Him.I returned home he became very aggravated angry and was in a total break down.At this point im trying to talk him into voluntarily going in for help at the stress center.He agreed.He was so tired at this point he wanted to find out what was happening.I walked him in.I spoke with the staff and gave them my contact info for a doc to call me the next morning so i can go into details about what was going on.I thought that once i told the doctor he would then place Him under a baker act.That Didn't happen.Time went by I'm waiting by the phone nobody called.So I decided to call up there and they told me he was discharged.I was shocked! I was hurt and confused.I rode around for hours looking for him.I finally found Him.They released him without any medication and without me even knowing.Finally find Him and we get home.His mind is back on track.A few days go by it starts up again.This time he told me that he wanted to by me a car because he was tired of me asking people for rides.I told him he Didn't have the money and that i would help him find a job.Me knowing that he could not work in this state of mind.I still found him a job.Things were looking up.He started spending time with his kids.Loving on them and really doing great.All of a sudden this car thing comes back up.He said Mama I'm bout to go get me a car I'll be back.I said you don't have the money He said the bible says whatever I ask for I can have.He left the house with 4 items in his hands.A few hours later I got a phone call from escambia county sheriffs office asking me if I had a Son name Lahorace.I said yes sir please tell me he's not...He said no no no calm down i just wanted to let you know that your son walked into the mercedes benz dealership and asked to purchase a car.The car salesman said He knew something was off so He called the police and said that it was a gentleman there that probably needs assistance.Once The officer arrive He knew my son immediately because of prior calls to the home for baker act but they never took Him in.Again because he was not suicidal or homicidal.So the officer told me that He had a duffle bag and told them the money was in the bag.He told the officer He came to purchase a car and that He wasn't breaking any laws.The officer opened the bag you'll never guess what was in it.To be continued......Please share His story How the Mental Health System failed Lahorace Pickett
