A sweet day ✨

🌿 A Sweet Milestone for Wild Rose 🌿

Over the past few weeks we’ve had the honor of welcoming several beautiful babies into the world, and somewhere in the middle of all that joy… we quietly reached a very special milestone.

Wild Rose Midwifery has now welcomed our 77th baby born at home since our first birth in December 2023.

Seventy-seven little lives.
Seventy-seven families.
Seventy-seven sacred birth spaces where parents met their babies for the very first time.

We never take for granted the trust that families place in us. Being invited into these moments — into homes, into vulnerability, into strength, into brand new beginnings — is something we carry with deep gratitude.

To every family who has trusted the Wild Rose team to walk alongside you… thank you. Your stories, your strength, and your babies mean the world to us.

Now we’re already dreaming ahead…

February 🩷

February Babies at Wild Rose 🌹

February was full of love as we welcomed five sweet little babies into the world.

Magnolia (Maggie) kicked things off by arriving just before 37 weeks. We think she decided the outside looked more fun with three older siblings waiting for her! Maggie made her debut at Baptist Hospital.

Reagan kept everyone on their toes. This sweet girl was born three minutes before her Midwives arrived, right into dad’s arms. Her momma is known for quick labors and she did it again!

Robert came in fast and furious on a beautiful February day. His momma went from zero to one hundred in no time, and we made it just moments before he arrived. Another incredibly strong momma.

Rhylin joined the world with a strong first-time mom who chose our prenatal and postpartum care while planning a hospital birth. We love supporting families in whatever way feels best for them. Thank you Baptist Hospital!

And Miss Meadow wrapped up our month. Her momma welcomed her biggest baby yet at 9 lbs 6 oz, and the sweetest moment was watching big sister sit beside Midwife Meg to help welcome her little sibling.

What an honor it is to walk alongside these families during such sacred moments.

Happy Birthday to one of our sweet Roses, Amanda! We are so very thankful for everything she does on a day to day basis. She’s currently home recovering with her sweet twin girls but you will all see her soon! Help us wish our Office Manager, Birth assistant, Doula, and student Midwife a VERY HAPPY birthday!!!

✨ January Babies at Wild Rose ✨

In January, the Wild Rose team had the incredible honor of welcoming three sweet new little babes into the world, each with a story as unique and beautiful as the families who love them.

🌿 Baby Eden
Eden’s parents transferred into care with us around 34 weeks, confident and well-informed first-time parents who knew the birth they desired was possible in an out-of-hospital setting. From the moment we met them, they were ready. About six weeks later, Baby Eden was born peacefully in the water with a stunning view of the bayou. Her mama worked with such strength, dad never leaving her side, surrounded by a loving birth team that included a wonderful doula. A truly calm and sacred welcome earthside.

🌊 Baby Hudson
Next came Baby Hudson—born right on his guess date (his mama clearly knows how to keep a schedule 😉). With a beautiful worship playlist filling the space, Hudson was welcomed peacefully in the water, surrounded by his dad, grandma, Midwives Meagan and Sheradia, and his mama’s best friend who also served as her doula. A birth full of intention, love, and reverence.

🤍 Baby Solomon (Baby Sully)
Last, but certainly not least, sweet Baby Sully. This was Midwife Meg’s second journey with this family, and it was sacred from beginning to end—pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This family knew the experience and the vibes they wanted, and together we made it happen. Midwife Meg arrived to check in, and shortly after, Sully made his way earthside with a mighty roar from his mama as dad waited with eager hands to catch his baby boy. After birth, Midwife Meg grabbed two excited big siblings so they could finally meet their baby, and during postpartum, dad (a nurse practitioner) proudly stepped in, stethoscope out, ready to take over his postpartum duties.

We are endlessly thankful to have walked alongside these families. Thank you for trusting us—not only during birth, but as we continue the journey through postpartum.
Midwifery care is deeply holistic and beautifully tailored to each family, and we are so honored to grow alongside the families we serve. 🌹
