🇺🇸 Veterans Day Ceremony 2025 🇺🇸

Today, we came together to honor and recognize the incredible men and women who have served our country with courage, sacrifice, and pride. During our Veterans Day Ceremony, we had the privilege of presenting our veterans with honorary certificates as a token of our deep appreciation for their service and dedication.

We also paid special tribute to the spouses of our veterans, who have stood beside them with unwavering love and support, by presenting each with a beautiful rose in their honor. 🌹

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful friends at Emerald Coast Hospice for making this special moment possible and helping us create such a meaningful celebration.

Thank you to all who joined us in honoring our heroes—your strength, bravery, and commitment will never be forgotten.

This month’s Wine Down Wednesday with Karen was one to remember! Karen and our Executive Director Andrea teamed up for a hilarious round of “Cheesiest Cheeseball” — and the competition was fierce! 😄

🎉 Congratulations to our two winners, Mr. Edwin and Mr. Comer!

A huge shoutout to our amazing Dietary Chef Chris for preparing a mouthwatering crab and asparagus salad that everyone absolutely loved. 👨‍🍳💛

We also celebrated a very special moment — our first-ever Resident of the Month! 🌟 Congratulations to Ms. Rosemary! Your positive and joyful spirit inspires everyone around you.

To wrap up the evening, Karen encouraged everyone to share one thing they’re thankful for this year — a perfect way to close out such a heartwarming event. ❤️

🎃🍂 Fall Fun at Holland Farm! 🍂🎃

Our residents had an amazing time visiting Holland Farm and Pumpkin Patch! From picking the perfect pumpkins to strolling through fields of bright sunflowers, it was a day full of laughter, fresh air, and fall festivities. 🌻

We enjoyed everything the farm had to offer — wagon rides, autumn treats, and plenty of smiles to go around. And to top it all off, everyone got to take home some freshly boiled peanuts! 🥜

Nothing beats a beautiful fall day spent making memories together. ❤️🍁

Anna often dreamed of returning to her homeland of Germany. The Good Tree team saw how deeply she was connected to her German roots, so they decided to bring a piece of Germany to her. They prepared goulash and other traditional German dishes, creating a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and nostalgia. Residents and staff gathered to celebrate Anna’s heritage, sharing stories and learning more about German customs.

Autumn Glen celebrated the 70th wedding anniversary of Bill and Mary Lou this week. It was a big week for Billy, a resident of The Waterford at Mesquite. In honor of Father’s Day, the local mayor visited the community to recognize Billy as the oldest father living in Mesquite! Just a few days later, Billy celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by family and friends. The celebration was filled with laughter and plenty of birthday cake. Billy’s milestone serves as an inspiration to everyone in the community.

John, a Magnolia Trails resident at Georgetowne Place, grew up on a farm and spent his childhood driving tractors and milking cows. He often shared these fond memories, so the team knew exactly what would make the perfect Tree of Dreams by bringing him back to the farm! The Waterford at Round Rock worked with resident Becky’s daughter to give her the surprise of a lifetime by restoring their family car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. Filled with memories of family vacations and drives with her late husband, Becky’s eyes filled with tears. The moment she saw the fully restored Mustang, she was overcome with emotion and gratitude. What a beautiful gift and a reminder of cherished memories!
