Feeling overwhelmed does not mean you are failing.
Overwhelm is often a sign that too much has been asked of your nervous system for too long. For many adults, especially those with anxiety or trauma histories, overwhelm can show up as shutdown, irritability, avoidance, or harsh self talk.
These are not personal flaws. They are signals.
Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand what is underneath the overwhelm, and find ways to move forward that feel more sustainable.
