Love was in the air at Garden Ridge as we celebrated Valentine's Day in a sweet style. Residents enjoyed a festive photobooth sponsored by Agave Hospice, delicious appetizers, cake, drinks, and a special visit from Cupid himself. We ended the day on a high note with wonderful live music by Randolph, our favorite entertainer!

Gen and Chuck's story is one of coming full circle. They first met at Old Main Village, a community managed by The Goodman Group, when it was part of Minnesota State Mankato's campus in 1955. Nearly 70 years later, they call the same building home. Garden Ridge was treated to a special visit from Julius, creator and owner of All Yo-Yo, along with his partner, Joel, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Agave Hospice and Palliative Care. What started as a demonstration quickly turned into a room full of laughter and shared memories. Residents enjoyed seeing many different styles of yo-yos and spin tops, learning how they work and even trying a few themselves. Julius welcomed questions throughout the program, and the room was full as residents eagerly engaged, reminiscing about playing with yo-yos as children and swapping stories from years past. It was beautiful to see the blend of education, nostalgia and hands-on fun.
