Celebrating Earth Day with Representative Crews!🌎💚

“The Creator gave us this earth as a temporary home. It shelters us, feeds us, and sustains us. I’m committed to being a good steward and supporting policies that protect it and help it flourish.”

We’re grateful for leaders like Representative Crews who understand that protecting our environment is directly connected to protecting our well-being.

At Mentally Anonymous, we’re thankful for champions in office who continue to fight for mental health care and mental wellness resources for communities across Arizona, because healthy environments help create healthy people.

Celebrating Earth Day with Commissioner Joysaphine Waitman-Powell 🌎💚

“As a Planning & Zoning Commissioner and mental wellness advocate, I celebrate Earth Day because the environments we build shape our health, our connection, and our future. Investing in green spaces, accessible amenities, and thoughtful growth is how we create communities where families can truly thrive.”

We’re grateful for leaders like Commissioner Waitman-Powell, whose commitment to mental wellness and intentional community design reminds us that healthy environments support mentally healthy people and communities.

Joysaphine Waitman-Powell, our Director of Strategic Initiatives and a Peoria Planning and Zoning Commissioner, spoke at the City of Peoria Council meeting tonight in recognition of the Sevilla Sol Clubhouse reopening.

As a mental wellness advocate, she understands that how cities are built and what amenities and resources are available through community design directly impacts connection, wellness, quality of life, and overall community well-being.

She spoke on the importance of showing up for our active adults as well as serving our community, and the role community spaces play in helping residents stay engaged, active, and well.

Join the Sevilla Sol Community on Friday May 22 from 12-4pm at Sevilla Sol, a 55+ community located at 10201 N 99th Avenue, Peoria, AZ.

Wellness doesn’t start in a meeting room. Sometimes it starts with a walk.

At Mentally Anonymous, we’re launching community wellness walks beginning in South Peoria, with plans to expand walking groups across Arizona.

These walks are about mental wellness + physical wellness, side by side.
Fresh air. Gentle movement. Real conversation.

We’re creating space to talk about:
• What’s keeping us up at night
• The weight of the world right now
• Stress, anxiety, burnout, and hope
• And how community connection can be a form of care

Some walks will be early and calm.
Some will be after work and conversational.
All will be judgment-free, accessible, and rooted in community care.

This is part of our broader commitment to preventative mental wellness, meeting people where they are and reminding us that healing doesn’t always require a couch, sometimes it just needs good shoes and good people. Whether that is 1 or 2 people or 10.

More details coming soon as we grow these walks throughout the state.

You’re welcome exactly as you are.💚

Mentally Anonymous at the City of Peoria MLK Unity Celebration this weekend!💚

We were honored to table at Peoria’s MLK Unity Celebration, connecting with neighbors and sharing a simple but important message: mental wellness matters. Seeing our community come together in unity, love, and conversation was a beautiful reflection of Dr. King’s dream.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed support. Unity looks good on Peoria!
