The American Cancer Society's 2026 report marks a historic milestone, with the 5‑year relative survival rate for all cancers combined reaching 70% for patients diagnosed between 2015 and 2021. This represents a significant increase from roughly 50% in the early 1970s, driven by advancements in treatment and earlier detection.
