"Dr. Baker grew up in both Minnesota and Arizona. From a young age, she knew that she wanted to become a doctor with a passion for newborns and young infants. She completed her undergraduate studies and her Master's degree in the Science of Healthcare Delivery at Arizona State University. She then spent some time in Milwaukee furthering her medical training at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Baker completed her residency with Phoenix Children's Hospital Residency Program Alliance in Phoenix, Arizona. Her professional interests center on newborn care, parental education and empowerment, and preventative medicine. She enjoys building rapport with many of her patients and promoting the human connection in medicine.

Outside of her career, Dr. Baker enjoys spending quality time with her husband and young children, running on desert trails, and can always be found with a cup of coffee and a good book."

Prior to PA school, Kierstin received her bachelor's degree from Arizona State University and gained professional experience volunteering in a women's health office and working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through habilitation services.

"Vinodh Vasudevan earned his medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College in India and went on to complete a Master of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Illinois, Peoria, and is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Prior to joining Pleasant Pediatrics, Dr. Vasudevan served as a pediatric hospitalist at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, providing care for children with a wide range of medical needs. His professional interests include asthma management and comprehensive general pediatric care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Vasudevan enjoys spending quality time with his family, exploring the outdoors, and traveling."

🎃 Keep Halloween full of fun, not fright!

From costume safety to candy checks, these simple tips help make trick-or-treating safe for all ages.

✅Choose safe costumes
* Make sure costumes & shoes fit well & aren’t a tripping hazard!
* Look for “flame resistant” on labels
* If wearing a mask/hat, make sure you have good visibility and ventilation!
* Carry flashlights, glow sticks, or use reflective gear

✅Trick-or treat safety
* Always stay with young children while trick-or-treating
* Encourage older children to go in a big group
* Kids should never enter a home while trick-or-treating
* Stay on well-lit streets
* Be courteous & kind to fellow trick- or-treaters & those gifting to you!

✅Check treats before eating
* Watch for choking hazards with small children
* Wait until you’re home to inspect candy
* Discard unwrapped, spoiled, or suspicious items
* Give kids a healthy meal before trick-or-treating to avoid snacking

✅Make your home safe for trick-or-treaters
* Clear walkways of toys, bikes, and hoses
* Sweep wet leaves to prevent slips
* Check and replace outdoor light bulbs
* Keep pets inside or securely restrained

"Emily Golichowski graduated from Midwestern University with a Masters of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies in May 2024. An Arizona native, she completed her undergraduate education at Arizona State University receive a Biological Sciences degree. Prior to PA school, she has gained professional experience working in Women and Infant services. She solidified her love for pediatric medicine by completing rotations in family medicine, pediatrics, and the neonatal intensive care unit.

Her approach centers on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both children and their families, ensuring open communication and understanding. She is excited to meet you and care for your loved ones!

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and long distance running. She also loves trying new coffee shops in the valley with her fiancé. She’s looking forward to joining the Pleasant Pediatrics team!"
