☀️⏰ Losing an hour this weekend? You may feel it.

😵 “Springing forward” can throw off your body’s natural rhythm.

Try this:
🌙 Shift bedtime earlier by 15 minutes each night leading up to the change
📱 Limit screens before bed
🌞 Get morning sunlight
😌 Keep your routine consistent

Small changes help your body adjust faster.

👶 And don’t forget the kids! Start moving their bedtime earlier now to avoid extra cranky mornings.

A bedtime routine can help children get the sleep they need, but at least twice a year, that schedule gets disrupted.

A clearer view can change everything.

When a Central Illinois patient with a rare lung cancer faced surgery that could have meant losing three ribs, advanced 3D virtual reality imaging at OSF HealthCare told a different story. That technology gave Richard Anderson, MD and his team a multi-dimensional look at the tumor and ultimately changed the surgical plan.

The result? A safer procedure, an easier recovery and a powerful reminder about the importance of early detection.

Now cancer-free, Jake Wilson is sharing his story of hope, faith and why annual lung CT screenings matter.

Read how innovative imaging made all the difference:

💛 Congratulations to Nichole Reuber, RN, Medical/Surgical Acute Care Unit, our November DAISY Award winner! 💛

Nichole was nominated by a grateful patient’s daughter, who shared:

“With the holiday week, we were in a pinch for time and had a number of things that needed to be done before our mother could be discharged. Nichole took the reins and coordinated with our case manager, the assisted living facility, the doctors and us to make sure everything was taken care of.”

Happy 💚

Today we’re proud to recognize Joanna Gardner, MD, emergency medicine physician, for the incredible compassion she showed a recent patient.

After many ER visits over 63 years, the patient said Dr. Gardner was “beyond exceptional.” What stood out most was how she made a personal connection, looking at them as a person and speaking to them as more than just a patient with an issue.

“It takes a lot to impress me to the degree she did,” the patient shared. “She is an outstanding doctor and greatly appreciated.”

Thank you, Dr. Gardner, for living our Mission and making a difference when it matters most. 💚

🫀 When it comes to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), tempo matters.

The American Red Cross recommends a compression rate of 100 - 120 beats per minute, about the rhythm of songs like “Stayin’ Alive.”

Knowing the right beat could make a difference in an emergency.
