It's officially Ladies Day Out!! 💃 Today we made our own custom candles at Candle Chemistry and while we were waiting for them to dry, we headed over for a bite at Grimaldi's Pizzeria. 🍕 A crafty day that includes a hearty lunch?? Sun City Sings filled the Arizona Ballroom with music, community, and a whole lot of spirit. Their “Truly Americana” program not only brought classic favorites to life, but also celebrated and shared the rich heritage of American music in a way everyone could enjoy.
An afternoon of timeless tunes, great company, and plenty of toe-tapping moments—now that’s something to sing about! 🎶

Feeling brass-tastic after this performance 🎺🎶 Our community was all smiles as the talented Desert Brass Band filled the room with bold, lively tunes that had toes tapping and spirits soaring. You could say they really blew us away!

We had a ball. ⚾ As Arizona's Spring Training wrapped up for the season, we took our residents out to a much-enjoyed ball game! You can never go wrong with a good ol' fashioned baseball game with some beers and corn dogs. 🌭 We do trips like this all the time for our senior living residents at Freedom Plaza, so if you or a loved one is interested in joining our community, let's get in touch.

In today's Jewish Education workshop, our residents enjoyed a meaningful and creative afternoon. While learning about the importance of Passover, the holiday of freedom, we also tried our hand at glass etching; creating beautiful designs to take home. A wonderful blend of culture, creativity, and community. ✨

Freedom Plaza Peoria was designed, built and originally operated by Robert Roskamp, senior living pioneer and philanthropist. He formed Freedom Plaza Limited Partnership (FPLP) in 1987 and teamed up with Sun Health, an Arizona senior living and community health non-profit organization in a joint venture that strengthened the ownership group.
“Freedom Plaza was the first Life Plan community of its kind”, said Mr. Roskamp. “I’m proud to have led the development of such a strong and vibrant sector of the senior living market.”
FPLP has retained continuous ownership of the Freedom Plaza campus, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. In April, 2018, the Arizona Department of Insurance granted FPLP’s wholly-owned subsidiary a permit to manage the Freedom Plaza campus, previously managed by Brookdale.
