Our PGY-2s and future Chiefs, Rishi and Christina, had an amazing time at GI ASCO! They reconnected with our student alumna Harveen Kaur (we miss you!) and met an inspiring group of both emerging and seasoned oncologists. We’re looking forward to exciting future collaborations from these incredible minds!

Congratulations to Dr Varshini Thiruvadi on being awarded the Mary Draeger Schultz Patient Safety Award 2025!!! Dr Thiruvadi’s QI project to improve the use of antibiogram by the residents when prescribing antibiotics to impact antimicrobial stewardship won her this scholarship. Way to go, Varshini! We would also like to recognize our chief resident Dr who mentored her on this project!

We had our first Journal Club of the year this October with .sbn presenting the DIGIT-HF trial! Perspectives from our experienced and budding cardiologists made for an interesting discussion amongst the residents. We are excited to see digitoxin back in the game and are waiting for the DECISION trial with bated breath! Dinner, drinks and a birthday were welcome additions :D
