JFSA recently held its third annual dementia care conference, "The Unexpected Dementia Journey: Quality of Life After Diagnosis." The free workshop brought together healthcare professionals and caregivers to explore how individuals can continue living well after a dementia diagnosis.

Dr. Dennis Grossman, Emeritus Physician at MetroHealth Medical Center, discussed early detection and innovative diagnostic modalities, including the use of AI and new blood tests. Local experts shared strategies to support dignity, belonging, and meaningful connections.

Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with local area Alzheimer's and dementia care organizations, including Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging, Alzheimer’s Association, and Scam Squad to strengthen their support networks.

JFSA offers comprehensive dementia services—assessment, education, counseling, and respite care—helping families navigate each stage of dementia with confidence.

We're so excited to have been part of Good Deeds Day with the Jewish Federation of Cleveland's Jewish Volunteer Network! BBYO teens visited JFSA's Cleveland Chesed Center to help restock our food pantries after Passover. Other volunteers joined our Horvitz YouthAbility ambassadors and PLAN members at the Kindness Center for fun arts and crafts and gardening projects. Plus, some volunteers lent a hand with home and yard maintenance at one of our residential group homes. Thank you all for spreading kindness!

JFSA brought the spirit of Passover to life across our community.

At JFSA's Cleveland Chesed Center, more than 100 volunteers, including those from B’nai Jeshurun, the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, Yeshiva Derech HaTorah, and Hebrew Academy, helped package and distribute kosher-for-Passover essentials to over 750 families—ensuring everyone could celebrate with dignity. JFSA staff also delivered food to home care and nursing home clients.

The celebration continued across our programs, where older adults and residents in our group homes each enjoyed meaningful Passover seders—filled with connection, tradition, and community.

From meeting essential needs to creating moments of belonging, JFSA was proud to support our community throughout the holiday.
