Residents look forward to weekly art therapy sessions with Lydia of Companion Healthcare. Residents have personalized their scrapbooks and, over the next weeks, they will be adding pictures and drawings that are reminiscent of enjoyable past experiences and life events.

We enjoyed making hand-crafted Valentine art with our friends from Companion Healthcare. This fun activity is therapeutic for residents by engaging eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and manual dexterity

During art therapy, we made concentric circle collages and decorated colorful sweaters on cats. Art activities engage sensory and motor skills, reduce stress, promote communication, and allow individuals to express themselves through creativity.
