SUCCESS STORY!
From surgery to the pickle ball court.
Our amazing patient, Karen, is a very active 67-year-old who was playing pickle ball 4–5 times a week before debilitating knee pain began impacting her sleep, daily life, and time on the court. After a total knee replacement in November 2025, she chose Active Life Physical Therapy for her recovery journey.
Through a personalized plan built around her goals, and a whole lot of hard work, she is now back on the pickle ball court, her happy place. ❤️
A huge shout out to Ellen, Georgie, and the entire team at Perry Hall for helping guide her every step of the way!

One day late, but happy last day to our PT student Colin Johnson! He CRUSHED his first clinical rotation, and good luck on the rest of PT school.

On Colin's last day, he presented to our Jacksonville staff on the use of the 3D Whats that strap to challenge our patients for rotational movement. We can wait to use this for our athletes & balance patients!

Back pain doesn’t usually come from one wrong move.
More often, it’s your body telling you it wasn’t ready for the demands you put on it.

Think winter realities ❄️
• Shoveling snow
• Slipping on ice
• Carrying heavy bags in bulky boots

These moments challenge balance, strength, and coordination all at once. When the core, hips, and glutes aren’t pulling their weight, the low back often takes over — and pays the price.

We commonly see recurring back pain linked to:
✔️ Weak hips and glutes
✔️ Poor coordination between the core and pelvis
✔️ Difficulty handling real-world movements like bending, lifting, and twisting

Waiting until pain becomes constant only makes recovery harder. Early physical therapy builds strength, restores confidence, and teaches your body how to handle real-life stress safely.

That’s why we offer Annual Strength Assessments 💪
A quick, proactive check to identify weaknesses or imbalances before they turn into pain or injury — so you can stay active year-round.

👏 Welcome, Briana!

✨ Student Spotlight! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Sydney Brown PT student to her clinical rotation at Active Life Physical Therapy! She will be with PT John Nietubicz at our Lutherville location. Sydney is in her last year of PT school

Her passion for physical therapy started early. Growing up with a father who is a pediatric oncologist, she witnessed firsthand the powerful impact compassionate, patient-centered care can have. As a three-sport athlete, she spent countless hours in the training room with athletic trainers and physical therapists, which sparked her love for movement, injury recovery, and understanding the human body. Once she took anatomy her senior year, everything clicked — and she’s never looked back 💙

Outside of the clinic, she truly lives an . She loves spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, hiking, playing pickleball, strength training, Pilates, and yoga sculpt — plus staying creative through painting, crafting, and drawing 🎨

✨ Fun fact: She was on a jump rope team for many years, performing routines at schools and later serving as a jump rope camp counselor for 8 years! She still jump ropes whenever she can — proof that fitness can (and should) be fun 😄

Welcome to Active Life Sydney! 💪
