Continuing our PT Month celebrations — meet Mrs. Katie Lyn! ☀️

Katie Lyn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University and went on to pursue her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Brenau University. She has always had a passion for working with the pediatric population and loves helping children reach their goals and milestones.

In her free time, Katie Lyn enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog Pippa, and their family and friends. She also loves traveling and exploring new places!

We’re so grateful to have her on our team! ☀️

October is Physical Therapy Month & over the next few days, we will be highlighting our awesome PT team! 🎉

First up is our lead physical therapist, Mrs. Rory!

Rory earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mary Washington and went on to graduate with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Shenandoah University. She has been passionate about working with the pediatric population since 2016 and has experience with a wide range of diagnoses. One of her favorite tools to use during therapy sessions is puzzles, because they combine fun and repetition for exercises.

Outside of the clinic, Rory enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading, and traveling. We sure are thankful for you, Rory! ☀️

October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month & to show our support, we are wearing purple 💜

For those that don't know, Rett Syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder that affects about 1 in 10,000 births & is seen mostly in females. While there is currently no cure, things like OT, PT, and ST can help support independence and quality of life.

If you know or love someone with Rett Syndrome, drop a 💜 in the comments—and we invite you to join us in wearing purple to show your support and help raise awareness!

In honor of our incredible friends and those diagnosed with Down Syndrome, we will be joining the Down Syndrome Association of Middle Georgia for their annual Buddy Walk!

Let’s Talk About Crawling ✨

Crawling is more than just a milestone — it plays an important role in early development. It helps babies and toddlers explore their bodies while also building essential higher-level skills, such as:

• Bilateral coordination
• Muscle strength and endurance
• Sensory processing
• Body awareness

When crawling is delayed or skipped, it can affect the development of these higher-level skills, potentially impacting things like handwriting, postural control, reflex integration, and attention!
