1 Peter 2:24
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Dear Heavenly Father:
“I feel your pain” is an oft heard refrain, though we really don’t. We may have walked similar roads, passionately seek to relate with others in their hurt, but we can’t. Our hurts are unique. Our anxieties are exclusive. While none of us can be the next one of us, you have stepped into our skin incarnate and have owned the sins of all of us. By your in-skin suffering, death, and resurrection, we are healed! The one pain we do feel that others have is the one that Jesus gladly takes. Our sins are forgiven. Open our mouths to speak! In Jesus, Amen.
