Romans 8:38-39

For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Dear Heavenly Father:

In our world, things, people, dreams, all get broken; some for the good and others for our loss. We suffer, but never alone. Thanks be to Jesus; our suffering and pain are limited to only disappointments but never despair. For you are with us, O Lord. Your sure love and steady hand support us through every one of life’s travails. Your own suffering, death and resurrection are the very devices of mercy that overcome even sin and death and by them we are eternally well. In this world things get broken, but never our relationship with you! In Jesus, Amen!

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Dear Heavenly Father:

The truth should be unassailable, yet we attack truth by opinion. The truth for one can be untruth for another. The truth today, may be found false tomorrow. We need a better truth and we have it. The eternal truth of God is found in Christ Jesus, the Lord. His truth of salvation for sinners through faith by grace, stands as a crisp beacon of hope in the midst of each generation’s truth pretenders. O Lord, guide us into Your truth! In Jesus, we have it! Dear Heavenly Father:

You blessed trees with roots that not only feed but hold. They give the blossom above the strength it needs to survive many years and myriad storms. We give you thanks that you have rooted us in your Son Jesus, and in His Holy Word you nurture us, bringing your strength. Like a sturdy tree, we weather life’s storms, faithfully leaning into every wind with your help, until the blessed day we need bend no more. You have rooted us in faith. Thanks be to God! Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father:

We give you thanks and praise for the precious gift of your Son, our Lord, Jesus, and the Spirit. By his gracious act of becoming our sacrifice he has rescued us from the impossible depth of our sin and by his resurrection from the dead lifted us to life everlasting for all who believe! Grant us a keen awareness of the Holy Spirit’s working in our life, leading, teaching, opening, and keeping us strong in faith to life everlasting. Into today we go! In Jesus, Amen!
