Reminder! Today we introduce you to Judy.

Judy has been going to physical therapy at 21st Century Rehab, PC for many years. She has predominately been treated by Matt, Physical Therapist, due to Vertigo and migraines she’s experienced for the last few years. Judy has developed strong rapport with Matt and is comforted by the care and concern he provides during and at the end of each physical therapy session.

Up until this fall, sessions had been helping temporarily with migraines and dizziness but had not been provided lasting results, with symptoms regularly returning. Upon Matt’s recommendation, Judy saw Dr. Eric Ash for an appointment who then referred her to Dr. Tim Vinyard, visiting shoulder surgeon from Iowa Ortho. At this point, Judy’s pain was excruciating from her neck down to her back and was disrupting her everyday life. She was x-rayed, and serious injury was discovered, so shoulder surgery was recommended by Dr. Vinyard.

Judy then had her rotator cuff repaired at Dallas County Hospital in the fall. Judy is slowly starting to feel better and feels greatly impacted by Dr. Vinyard and the nursing team at DCH.

Judy stated, “I was impressed by the level of depth and explanation provided before the surgery on all that was to take place. I have had other surgical procedures at other locations, and DCH provided the best communication.”

Past surgeries and poor experiences made Judy question whether to even have this surgery.

“Communication is the biggest factor for me. I was very clear about my expectations and wishes, and I felt everyone one of them was honored. The anesthesiologist even came and visited with me, which is an experience unlike any I have had before,” Judy added.

Judy was touched by the attentiveness of the nursing team and left with no complaints.

She concluded, “If you are referred for surgery, look at Dallas County Hospital. Please ask your doctors for referrals to DCH, as you are more than just a number here. The level of customer service and care provided is unmatched."

Shopping season is upon us for many.
Don't forget about the DCH gift shop for all of your holiday needs! Shopping is not limited to employees or patients only. It's open to all!

Our cute little gift shop is located in the walkway between the hospital and clinic, so it's right towards the front of the hospital, and only a hop, skip, and jump from our main parking lot.

It offers more items than you might imagine. In addition to the traditional stuffed animals and cards you might expect in a hospital gift shop, it also contains seasonal decor and kitchen items, snacks, toys, and more.

The purpose of the gift shop is to support our scholarship fund so we can help the next generation of health care students in obtaining their educations. You'd be giving back to a valuable cause while interacting with many of our great staff and patients. Purchases are tax free!
