This is a much-needed step in the right direction.
The Diabetes Foot Health Access and Modernization Act aims to cut through excessive red tape that has made it increasingly difficult to provide basic, preventative diabetic foot care.
Programs like diabetic shoes—designed to prevent serious complications—have become so complex and high-risk to manage that we’ve had to stop offering them.
Reducing these barriers would allow us to focus on what matters most: keeping patients healthy and preventing avoidable problems before they start.
