Opened by Dr. Rachel Elmore (Berent) and Dr. Jeff Elmore, Turning Point Chiropractic brings a refreshing view of health and wellness to the community we serve. First and foremost we accept one major principle; the body has an innate ability to health itself. For example, when a person cuts their finger they usually put a bandage on the cut. A couple of days later the cut has healed and the bandage is removed. But we all know that it was body and not the bandage that healed the cut. We understand that the nervous system controls every function of the body. The spinal cord is the healing communication between the brain and body. The bones of the spine can be come misaligned through accidents, injuries, difficult births, exposure to toxicities, and stress. When the bones, specifically at the base of the skull, become misaligned, pressure is placed on the brain stem. This pressure interrupts the flow of the nervous system, which leads to tissue exhaustion, symptoms, and ultimately dis-ease. We believe that “less is more.” We believe that by placing the bones in the correct position, and addressing the cause of the misalignment, that the body will truly be able to heal itself.
