About Rebecca:
Rebecca is a Reiki Master Teacher and Certified Sound Healing Facilitator trained in using Solfeggio tuning forks, crystal bowls, and Himalayan bowls. With over 25 years of experience teaching and sharing group and private sessions, she has certified students in Reiki at the Orion Institute as well as multiple yoga studios throughout Toledo. In addition, she hosts weekly community healing workshops and Sound Baths, as well as private healing sessions at Karuna House in Perrysburg.

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from and experience Rebecca’s incredible energy and expertise.

Monday – Thursday: 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
Orion Institute is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Instructor to support our evening and weekend programs. This dual-role position will serve both as a Lab & Make-Up Instructor and as a Front Desk representative, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for our students.
Responsibilities
Provide instruction, supervision, and support in the lab environment.
Assist students with make-up work and skill development.
Maintain a positive and professional classroom atmosphere.
Manage the front desk, including greeting students, answering inquiries, and handling administrative tasks.
Support faculty and staff with scheduling, attendance, and communication needs.
Uphold Orion Institute’s mission and standards of professionalism.
Qualifications
Licensed Massage Therapist
Previous instructional, tutoring, or academic support experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable multitasking between instructional and administrative duties.
Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled.
Professional, approachable, and student-focused demeanor.
Compensation
$20/hour

💫Meet Ashley Hirzel💫

I am honored to officially step into the role of Program Director of Massage Therapy at Orion Institute! 💙💆‍♀️

For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my career to helping others through both massage therapy and esthetics, building a strong foundation as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician, spa owner, and continuing education provider. Along the way, I’ve specialized in advanced techniques such as orthopedic assessment, sports massage, manual lymphatic drainage, and myofascial release—all while mentoring future professionals and developing educational programs.

This new role allows me to bring together my passion for teaching, leadership, and holistic care. My goal is to create an inspiring and supportive learning environment where students can thrive—not only as skilled massage therapists, but as confident, compassionate professionals.

I am so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see what we build together at Orion! 🌟

🌟 Meet Jaliyah! 🌟

I’m so excited to join The Orion Institute as your new Director of Student Services & Registrar! In my role, I help keep student records, schedules, and progress organized 📚, while also supporting and cheering on students every step of the way. I’m here to encourage, uplift, and keep the spirit alive on campus — making sure every student feels seen, heard, and celebrated throughout their journey. 💙

I’m a recent graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a minor in Women’s & Gender Studies.
Outside of Orion, I work a lot in the mental health space and I’m passionate about advocacy, growth, and helping others reach their potential. I also love to read, create, travel (I’m a travel agent ✈️), spend time with my friends and family, and connect with new people wherever I go. Building meaningful relationships and sharing experiences is something that inspires me daily. ✨

I look forward to connecting with all of you at Orion — students, staff, and everyone who’s part of our journey. Together, we’ll celebrate successes, support each other, and keep our campus full of energy and positivity!
