On July 3rd, 2022 our Akita was hospitalized at Animal Care Center in Plainfield, IL, with sudden paralysis in her back legs. X-rays indicates IVDD. She has arthritis and pinched nerves in her neck and pelvis. She is on strong pain medication and anti-inflammatory medication.
On July 5th She was referred to the University Of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine to see a neurologist and Rehab team. She is still needing full assistance for walking, although she was able to stand briefly with support
Medical expenses for hospitalization, Neurologist, Physical Rehab is very overwhelming.

Our Nikki is exceptionally healthy, and we want to give her the best recovery possible.
Nikki will be needing assistance devices, physical rehab and a ramp when she comes home.
