Rannila Kitchen and Bakery will be closed this weekend in honor of Dawn Sherrill one of this area's amazing women we have ever had the absolute pleasure to know! Her service has been set for this Saturday at 3:00 at the Anadarko Baptist Church.

“As most of you know, our mama Dawn Sherrill went missing July 21st. Dawn's body and the truck was found a few days ago. We ask for no questions.

We will be celebrating the wonderful life of Dawn's Sat August 21st. We will be using the same place we had our search and rescue meeting at, Anadarko First Bapist Church. We will release the time later this week once we get the details worked out. We would like to allow people the opportunity to share memories of good times. We understand that not everyone would be comfortable sharing in front of peope. So with this being said, we would like to to give an option for you all to send us short stories, memories, moments, and pictures you have had with Dawn. We will share these stories at the memorial.

We would like to say thank you all for the prayers, for all the help searching for her, for everything. But mainly thank you for helping us find answers. Now we can put her body to rest and let her soul forever fly over us.”

✔ Caddo County Sheriff’s Office is looking for 55-year-old Dawn Sherrill who has brain cancer, possibly disoriented due to a recent surgery.
✔ Dawn was last seen Wednesday at 6pm about three miles south of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
✔ Driving a dark red Ford F150 with a black tailgate and Oklahoma tag .

Contact Caddo County Sheriff Department if you see her. 405-247-5700. Flier was made with information given, but Caddo County Sheriff Department has the missing person case.

Pocasset, Oklahoma
All CRs to Chickasha Lake, and all around Chickasha Lake
Two miles in to Caddo County
Chickasha, Oklahoma (three separate searched times - follow up one tip)

Directed Sherrill's son to contact OKCM Search and Rescue, after speaking to Brian about the case, for an extensive search.

Dylan Sherrill tells KFOR there were potential sightings of his mother, Dawn Sherrill, in Weatherford on Saturday and in Clinton on Sunday after she went missing two and a half weeks ago.

"Out of respect for the family we have been waiting to share this with you all. It is with deep regret and sadness that we must announce that Dawn Sherrill’s truck was finally spotted and unfortunately she was found deceased nearby.

My understanding is, the truck was in such a way that even though we had someone assigned to that area it was impossible to have been seen from public access roadways and under such dense canopy that it could not have been seen from the air either.

Our hearts are broken along with everyone who knew her. This family will forever be a part of our family. May she Rest In Peace.

Again, please... her family is processing one of the most difficult moments any family can bear. Give them space and privacy during this time."

Road Search for Dawn Sherrill
Saturday 31 JUL 2021 - 0900
Meeting location:
Anadarko First Baptist Church
700 W Petree Rd
Anadarko, OK 73005

Volunteers will need to assemble at the location starting at 9 am. We’ll ask that volunteer vehicles come with a driver and at least one “looker” You will be assigned a grid square that is 4 square miles (2 miles x 2 miles) for urban areas and 25 square miles for rural areas (5 miles x 5 miles). We’ll need at least one person in the vehicle to download a free GPS Tracking app and record your track for the duration of your activity. Upon completion of your assigned area you would check back in at the command post and email your track to us at that time. You are welcome to complete as many assignments as you have time and energy to commit. All we ask is that you allocate enough time to complete at least one task assignment and if you choose additional tasks that you commit to complete them. You will need to drive all the roads in your assigned grid. You will be looking for unmarked pull offs, dead end roads, bridges over creeks & ravines, broken vegetation or damaged fencing. To be assigned a search grid the vehicle driver will need to present a valid license and proof of insurance. We will accept volunteers all day so if you can’t be there at 9 get there when you can. We are covering as much ground as possible so it’s possible search grids could be as far away as 50 miles from the command post and possibly more if we get enough volunteers. No search grids will be assigned after 7 PM. Also again, no single occupant vehicles will be assigned a search area. We need the drivers to drive and lookers to look. Safety is our number one concern and we want everyone who participates to get home safe. More detailed instruction will be given at the point of assignment but this gives you a basic idea of what to expect.
