In the healthcare heroes voting done by Signature Magazine, our Executive Director Shawn Elkins is a finalist for Best Healthcare Administrator and Executive Assistant Dukes as Best Healthcare Secretary! So, we had a little video made asking for your vote. We will post the links to each of their pages in the comments below. All you have to do is go to their page and vote and enter and email. We know we are small company and our competition is much larger like Hattiesburg clinic but we’d love a chance to show that small companies have a lot to offer the pinebelt! We truly had a great time participating in the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade for the City of Petal - Government. We were able to get all of our owners, our office staff, and even some of our outstanding caregivers involved. And of course, your friendly neighbor grandmas ( Shawn Elkins and Hallie Berteau had to make their appearance! Now it may have been a whole lot colder than we would have preferred (especially those of us in gowns but it was still a ton of fun.

Don’t forget tonight! We have our kick off event celebrating Petal’s recognition as a dementia friendly community. It’s at the Petal Senior Center and it’s come and go from 4:30 to 6:30. Come by, fellowship, enjoy some free food, and learn about the resources we will be able to make available for this living with dementia and resources for those caring for them. We hope to see you there!

Multiple times a week the leadership team at Southern Grace comes together at the same table to discuss accomplishments and achievements, address issues, work on improving the way we do things, and planning for future growth and development.

These meetings are vital to keeping us focused on both our short term and our long term goals of serving the elderly and disabled in this community; As well as ensuring we remain true to our core principles.
