🐾 Freedom Friday! Meet Our Newest Safe & Loved Dogs 🐾
Every day we celebrate the dogs we save, but we want to use this Freedom Friday to highlight our newest additions who just made it out — dogs who are finally safe, finally loved, and finally getting their chance at forever.

Say hello to this crew:
✨ Harvey – In foster and ready for forever! This sweet, energetic boy would love an active person. A nice hike = his happy place.
✨ Vida – In foster and attending group training twice a week to build confidence. She’s opening up more each week and may already have some interest 👀
✨ Zeke – In foster and truly the sweetest boy. Incredibly affectionate and cat friendly!
✨ Snickerdoodle – In foster after 3 long months in the shelter. Timid, but working hard on confidence and socialization.
✨ Twix – Snickerdoodle’s more outgoing brother! Also in foster and getting great socialization.
✨ Anna (and Indy) – Cattle dog siblings saved in partnership with Redwood Coast Cattle Dog Rescue. Each rescue head is fostering a sibling, and both are available for adoption. These pups survived months in the desert with no help. Their mom still needs rescuing — but first she needs to be safely captured. Anna is with us.

Harvey, Vida, and Zeke were saved from euthanasia at Kern County Animal Services. Snickerdoodle and Twix were saved from euthanasia at Bakersfield City Animal Care Center, and we’re planning to go back for their sister next. Anna and Indy were fighting for their lives in the desert after months without help. Each has a story, and we’ll share them soon. 💛

Joey Has Found His Forever Home! 🐾

Our big, handsome boy Joey has officially found his forever home! For those who have followed his journey, you know his future once seemed so uncertain, he landed on the red list, facing a reality no dog should ever have to endure. But from the moment he arrived at Roxy’s Ranch Haven, Joey was given a chance to heal, to feel safe, and to be loved. He blossomed into the sweetest, calmest, and most loyal companion, a true gentle giant, 110 pounds of pure heart and unwavering affection.

Thanks to everyone who supported, shared, and cheered him on, Joey got the chance every dog deserves and he made the most of it!

Today, he’s in a home where he’s cherished, safe, and surrounded by people who adore him. A big congratulations to Sabrina and her family. Joey is so lucky to have found you, and we know he’s going to bring endless love, joy, and gentle giant cuddles into your home.

Watching Joey finally settle into the love, safety, and comfort he was always meant to have… moments like this are exactly why we do what we do.

Congratulations, Joey. Here’s to soft beds, warm hugs, goofy moments, and a lifetime of love! ✨

Introducing Bolinas, or Lina ✨

With her elegant long legs, stunning eyes, and that effortlessly regal presence, Lina is truly one-of-a-kind. At 5 years young, she knows her mind and her boundaries, a confident, loving ex-mom energy in full effect. She’s affectionate and loving, always wanting to be wherever you are going for a walk? She’s ready. Hanging out with friends? She’s there. She’ll be your warm spot curled up at your side.

With other dogs, she’s friendly, playful, and social, but she’s also confident enough to set her boundaries, loud when she needs to be, just mom energy, keeping everyone in line. She’s smart, well-trained, crate- and house-trained, and has a calm presence that makes the world feel softer.

Important: Lina would do best in a home with no cats, so her boundaries are respected, and she can shine as the queen she is. 👑

She’s the perfect mix of elegance and joy, a loyal shadow, cuddle buddy, gentle playmate, and total heart-stealer. Lina is ready for a home where she’s not just included, she’s loved, seen, and treasured.

For local adopters, Bolinas’ adoption includes free group training classes in Sebastopol as well as a small welcome package from Woodlands, to ensure a successful, supported, and happy forever home.

Boone Found His Forever Home! 🐾

Remember Scooter? Well, he’s now Boone and officially in his forever home!

This goofy, tail-wagging bundle of joy has found his perfect match. Boone’s friendly personality and playful energy make him the ultimate family dog, the kind that fills every room with laughter (and probably a few squeaky toy sounds.

We’re so happy to see him thriving in his new home and showered with all the love he deserves.

Congrats, Boone! Here’s to endless adventures, belly rubs, and happy zoomies! 🐶✨

Ozzie (formerly Pippin Took) has officially found his forever home! 🎉

Congratulations to his new family! We apologize for the delay in sharing this happy news, but we’re absolutely thrilled that Ozzie is now surrounded by love and care in his new home. And great news, several of our other pups have also found their forever families! 🐶
