She shows up every day with a smile, a big heart, and an unwavering love for our animals. From caring for our ranch animals and rescue dogs to letting the horses out and keeping the entire ranch running smoothly, Miranda does it all—and does it with so much compassion.

She’s not only an amazing helper, but a true advocate for the animals in her care. We’re so grateful to have her as part of our ranch family. We love her, the animals adore her, and we honestly couldn’t do this without her 🐾🐎

Sonny is a young, 60 lb Collie and German Shepherd mix looking for his forever home. He just turned 1 year old and absolutely loves people.

Sonny also gets along great with other dogs, is house trained, takes treats gently, knows how to sit, and walks well on a leash. He came into our rescue a bit shy, but he has truly come out of his shell and is now happily seeking affection and attention.

Garrison is a sweet, mellow gentleman around 7 years old who is looking for his forever home! 🐾

He is house-trained, walks well on leash, loves people, and enjoys the company of other dogs. Garrison is happiest laying next to you while you work or relaxing together after a short daily walk, and he will love you for eternity in return. As with all of our dogs, Garrison’s adoption includes group training classes to help support a smooth transition into his new home and strengthen his bond with his people.

Recently, one of our rescue dogs tested positive for heartworm. To help protect the rest of our dogs and prevent this from happening again, we’re asking for your support.

We want to share that this dog was infected out of state. While at the ranch, he consistently received preventatives and tested negative twice before finally receiving a positive result. Because of that early prevention, he is now able to begin treatment promptly.

Heartworm is an increasing risk in Sonoma County and the Bay Area. While it’s not as prevalent as in the southeastern U.S., cases are rising, and prevention is more important than ever. Many shelters are unable to administer or supply preventatives, which can leave dogs unprotected while waiting for their first vet visit. Donations help ensure our dogs can start preventatives immediately.

Do you have any unopened or unused heartworm, flea, tick, or deworming medications you no longer need? We are especially in need of Heartgard, NexGard, or Simparica Trio (all-in-one preventative).

Grace Update 🤍

We wanted to share an important update on Grace.

After returning from the vet and completing further testing, Grace has been diagnosed with a very rare and terminal form of skin lymphoma. This was not the outcome we were hoping for, but we are grateful to finally have answers.

At this stage, our focus has shifted from treatment to comfort. Grace is being surrounded with love, safety, and gentle care as we prioritize her quality of life. She is currently snuggled up right next to my bed in her comfy bed, nice and warm, exactly where she should be.

Grace came to us when she had no time left. She has known warmth, grass beneath her feet, kindness, and safety here at the ranch. While her journey will be shorter than we ever wanted, it will be filled with compassion, dignity, and love.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Grace, shared her story, and held her in your hearts. Please continue to keep her close in your thoughts as we walk this next chapter with her. 🤍

Say hello to Rocko! 🐾

Rocko is an 8–9 month old puppy who has already overcome so much and is ready for a loving forever home.

After spending his early life isolated with very little human contact, he’s shown just how resilient, smart, and loving he truly is once given kindness, structure, and consistency.

Since rescue, Rocko has completed a board & train program and is now thriving in a local foster home. He bonds deeply with his people, loves being close, and is affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal. With routine and guidance, he settles quickly and continues to build confidence every day. Everyone who meets him, humans and dogs alike, falls in love.

Rocko is people-friendly, great with kids (with clear adult leadership), and super social with other dogs. He would do best in a home with at least one dog companion, as he loves canine company. Smart, sensitive, and eager to learn, Rocko is already a great dog and has all the makings of someone’s soul dog.

Rocko thrives with continued training, daily routines, mental and physical enrichment, and a puppy-friendly home. He is not a match for homes with cats, but he does come with ongoing support, including group training classes twice a week with his professional trainer.

George and Georgina are the smallest German Shepherds we've ever seen! Georgina looks like a forever puppy 😍

George, 5 years old, is a happy, playful boy with a fun-loving personality and a great sense of humor. He enjoys engaging with his people and, when he’s feeling extra excited, may gently mouth an ankle as a playful way of saying “hey, notice me!” This behavior is soft, friendly, and not aggressive, and he redirects easily with guidance. Because George can be enthusiastic in his play, he and Georgina would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 8 and up, where his playful energy is understood and appreciated.

Georgina, 3 years old, is sweet, affectionate, and known for gently “cobbing”, carefully checking your fingers for any hidden treats. 🥰

Both are fully grown, potty trained, and do well with other dogs (cat compatibility unknown). They’re looking for a forever home together, where they can continue being the loving duo they are.
