November is Early Childhood Mental Health Awareness Month. The mental health of the mother during pregnancy and the first year postpartum is critical to the development of the child.

When we do not prioritize the mental health of expectant and new mothers, the consequences can be significant.

Our Maternal Mental Health: Impact on the Infant webinar and fact sheet provide valuable insights and strategies for supporting the mother-infant dyad.

What do Kylie Kelce, Cardi B and Alanis Morissette all have in common?

They've all been open about their battles with perinatal mental health.

We are forever thankful for those with a megaphone that use it to show the masses that these disorders do not discriminate. No amount of money or fame make someone immune.

May 5-11 is Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week. 85% of new mothers will experience the baby blues.

It’s common. It’s real. And it matters.

Up to 85% of new moms experience the “baby blues” after birth, feeling weepy, overwhelmed, or moody in the first two weeks postpartum.

But when those feelings don’t go away or get worse, it might be something more serious, like a maternal mental health disorder.

Know that you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Visit The Blue Dot Project to learn more about building awareness around perinatal mental health disorders.
