Patient care will be limited over the next two weeks as we enjoy some time away! The front office will be operating under its normal hours and those patients with priority needs will continue as scheduled.

Extremely grateful to our staff who keep the ship running while we step away to recharge! And to our patients who understand the value of “refilling your cup” in order to best care for others!

Many insurances use an automatic system to generate an approved number of visits for PT. This typically looks like 6 visits. Then you submit again and it generates 4 visits. Which may be enough, but for surgeries, returning to sport or chronic issues it may not be. So, you then get reviewed. This was our feedback last week on an ACL repair going on 9 months with the final phases of return to sport. We’ve been getting reviewed for about 6 months …we document well, so you get the care you need!

I volunteered at the Run for Isaac 5k this morning and was doing some reflecting on the way to and from the race. I was interviewed at the race as to why I was there?

I don’t know Isaac, and to be honest I’ve never met a member of the Philips family. I did grow up in New Ipswich. But, you see the lady in blue? I’ve known Jess since I was 8 years old, she was my “kid sitter” after school, now we are peers. The guy in black, that’s her husband Tim, we get to bond over trail running. See the crowd? They are from all over the Monadock region- some of them my grade school classmates, some patients, some members of the Monadnock Milers, some of recognize their faces but can’t recall their names, and others I’ve never met.

All of this to say, we can’t change Isaac’s diagnosis or prognosis, but we can gather the Village. I’m proud to be a member of our Village and I’m grateful to be surrounded by a Village like this. And well, that’s why I was there today. I know I’m not the only one that was present today that’s never met Isaac or his family.
