We’re proud to announce Paul Belanger, Materials Management, as April’s MCH Employee of the Month. In a short time, Paul has made his impact apparent, as he picks materials and delivers them around the hospital to keep everyone well stocked with supplies. He also works here as a courier and is about to expand his responsibilities into the mailroom.

As the nominations say, "Paul always takes the time to say good morning every day as he passes through our unit. He might even drop us a thoughtful candy. We appreciate his positive attitude.” Another adds, “Paul is always pleasant and kind when he brings supplies. He listens to our needs and is a delight every time we see him.”

Before joining us, Paul had a long, fruitful career in Materials Engineering, working as a manager on such products as body armor and airbags. After that role ended, he wanted to keep working. He was encouraged to join the MCH team by his son Shawn. But it was always meant to be: our hospital has been a part of Paul’s life since the start, as he was born in the Birthing Suite at MCH.

Congratulations, Paul!

On World Health Day, we are proud to recognize the people across Monadnock Community Hospital who help turn science into care every day.
From preventive screenings and primary care to specialty care, rehabilitation, lab services, and imaging, healthcare works best when it is grounded in evidence, teamwork, and trust. This year’s World Health Day theme, “Together for health. Stand with science,” is a meaningful reminder that better health starts with informed care and a shared commitment to our community.
Thank you to our providers, nurses, technicians, therapists, support staff, and teams across MCH who help bring science-based care to life for our patients and neighbors.

Every patient’s care begins with a first step, and at Monadnock Community Hospital, that step starts with our Patient Access team.
During Patient Access Week, we recognize the team members who help patients schedule appointments, complete registration, and navigate insurance and next steps. Their work ensures patients feel prepared, informed, and supported before care even begins.
Thank you for being the first step in every patient’s care.

This week, we recognize Occupational Health Nurses Week and the important role these nurses play in keeping our workplaces safe and healthy.
Occupational health nurses help prevent illness and injury, support employee well-being, and promote safe work environments. From health screenings and education to workplace safety and injury prevention, their work supports both employees and the organization as a whole.
At Monadnock Community Hospital, we are grateful for the expertise, vigilance, and care our occupational health nurses bring to our teams every day. Thank you for all that you do to support a healthy workforce.

Small acts can make a big difference.

Thanks to the generosity of our team and community, Monadnock Community Hospital collected and donated more than 100 oral care items, including 76 toothpastes and 26 toothbrushes, to support the End 68 Hours of Hunger-Conval program serving local students across the ConVal district.

These simple essentials help children return to school feeling confident, healthy, and ready to learn. We are grateful to everyone who contributed and helped support the well-being of our community.

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and we’re proud to share that Monadnock Community Hospital has polyp detection rates that exceed state averages, according to the New Hampshire Colonoscopy Registry. Higher polyp detection means more cancers prevented and healthier outcomes for our community.
With colorectal cancer rates rising, screening is more important than ever. New guidelines now recommend starting at age 45.
