Wellness is about more than medical care alone. Research shows that strong social connections support better mental health, lower stress, and greater resilience.
Simple actions like volunteering at a local school, having coffee with the same friend each week, or becoming a regular at the farmers market can make a meaningful difference for both individual health and community well-being.
This Wellness Wednesday, we are highlighting how connection helps keep our community healthy.

Please join us in celebrating February’s Employee of the Month Sara Troccia, a dedicated sonographer and radiographer who’s been part of the MCH family for 16 years. From OB/GYN to adult echo ultrasound, Sara’s expertise spans every angle, and it all started when she and a college friend were both hired on one condition: learn echocardiography. She embraced the challenge, mastered echo, and never looked back. “Find what you love and stick with it,” she says. What she loves most? The detective work of imaging and knowing her skills help pinpoint problems and guide patients to the care they need.

Sara grew up in Wilton and now enjoys life with her husband and two dogs, coaching her nieces’ sports teams, reading, and dreaming of an Alaskan cruise. She’s grateful for strong mentors and hopes to pursue a leadership role one day. Please join us in congratulating Sara. Thank you for all the heart, skill, and sparkle you bring to MCH!

Choosing where to give birth is about more than a room. It’s about feeling safe, supported, and cared for at every step. This virtual tour of MCH Birthing Suite shows how our family-focused approach puts parents, babies, and loved ones at the center of care.

From secure, private rooms designed for comfort to advanced medical technology available whenever it’s needed, our Birthing Suite balances a calm, welcoming environment with the highest standards of safety. Families can stay together, bond through immediate skin-to-skin care, and create a birth experience that reflects their preferences, whether that includes natural comfort measures, medical support, or a personalized combination of both.
