Healthier futures often begin with simple conversations. When our communities understand problem gambling, they create space for compassion, support, and hope. The 2026 Problem Gambling Awareness Month theme, “Caring Communities, Stronger Futures,” emphasizes the importance of a community-driven approach to problem gambling awareness and support.

But how do we define "community"? The answer is unique to every individual. A community can include family, friends, neighborhoods, healthcare providers, and so much more. When a community builds awareness about problem gambling, it highlights critical resources and reduces barriers to support.
