A Silent Tear-
By Gaynor Liewellyn
Just close your eyes and you will see,All the memories that you have of me,Just sit and relax and you will find,I'm really still there inside your mind,Don't cry for me now I'm gone,For I am in the land of song,There is no pain, there is no fear,So dry away that silent tear,Don't think of me in the dark and cold,For here I am, no longer old,I'm in that place that's filled with love,Known to you all, as "UP ABOVE".

In loving memory of Ms. Alice Raines

Thank you to Gill Edwards for celebrating Black History month with us. As always we enjoyed your performance and a special thank you from Ms. Muse for singing one of her favorite songs (Georgia on my mind).

The White Chariot" by Julie Johnson

During your journey on your final flight home.
White wings will carry you and you will be flown.
To the pearly gates of Heaven, where they will usher you in.
To the feet of your Lord, your Saviour, and your friend.
He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing.
As another one of His children is delivered by white wings.

We enjoyed our culture connection theme day. Our first stop was Germany in honor of residents Ms Derr, and Ms. Gisa who is from Heidelberg Germany. We enjoyed a show and tell where they each shared personal items, and a coffee chat with an assortment of delicious German Cookies provided by Ms. Gisa’s daughter Christel.

Thank you Christel. You are greatly appreciated❤️

In January, we asked residents across our Spring Oak communities a simple question:

What’s the best advice for having a good year?

Their answers were thoughtful, honest, sometimes funny, and full of perspective — and they truly had fun sharing them with us. Each month, we’ll be sharing advice from the wisest members of our Spring Oak family, from across all of our communities.

This is the start of a new series, and we’re excited to continue sharing their voices throughout the year.

💬👇 Which piece of advice resonated with you most?

When care feels personal, it changes everything.

Our Chief Operating Officer, Frank Evegan, recently shared his personal story and perspective in a conversation that became the most downloaded and listened-to episode of the year for the Senior Living Guide podcast.

The discussion explores what truly makes senior living feel like home — being genuinely known, consistent care, and relationships that matter when families are navigating important decisions.

For many of us at Spring Oak, this work is personal. And it always has been.

If you’re exploring senior living, you’re likely balancing practical questions with something heavier — the responsibility of choosing a place where you or someone you love will live, be cared for, and feel at home.
