CRIME INSIDER - Hopewell official alert - PLEASE SHARE

**Hopewell police seek the public’s assistance in locating a critically missing person.
**
[Hopewell, VA] – The Hopewell Police Department is actively investigating and requesting the
public’s assistance in helping locate a missing resident of the City of Hopewell. On March 25, 2026,
Jayden McComber, 18, left his residence in the 2500 block of Richmond Street around 11:30 p.m.
and has not been seen since. Jayden McComber is described as a black male, 18 years old, 5’6, 170
pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Jayden was last seen driving a gray Chevrolet Silverado
with a Virginia license plate TCL7303.
The Hopewell Police Department and Mr. McComber’s family are concerned due to the suspicious
circumstances of his disappearance. The family reports that it is unusual for Jayden not to
communicate with them. The investigation revealed that his vehicle traveled to Glen Allen, Virginia
Beach, Chesapeake, and King William County. The Hopewell Police Department is working closely
with the Virginia State Police and neighboring jurisdictions to locate Jayden. We urge anyone who
may have seen Jayden or his vehicle, or who has information regarding his whereabouts, to contact
the authorities immediately.
Members of the Hopewell Police Department Criminal Investigation Unit have initiated an
investigation into this incident. The Hopewell Police Department requests that any person(s) who may
have any information to contact the Hopewell Criminal Investigations Unit at (804) 541-2284. Persons
with information on this crime and who wish to remain anonymous may contact the Hopewell Prince
George Crime Solvers hotline in Hopewell at (804) 541-2202 or provide their tip using the P3tips

Our Story

We service families who have children with special needs to help make their journey a little easier. There are many resources out there for children with special needs. A lot of those resources many of the parents do not know about. Often it can be very difficult for new parents. We do our best to help educate families while offering emotional support. We also encourage them to be their child's advocate.
