INCLEMENT WEATHER REPORTING: EARLY RELEASE, 6 MAR: Peterson SFB and Cheyenne Mountain SFS:

Non-mission essential personnel should follow their Commander’s/Director’s release guidance in line with the release priorities beginning with Phase 1 at 12:30 p.m., Phase 2 at 1:00 p.m., and Phase 3 at 1:30p.m.

As weather safety conditions vary widely across the area, individuals with specific commuting concerns should contact their leadership for a risk management assessment and duty determination.

Release Priorities:
Phase 1: Personnel living further than 15 Miles from their place of duty and parents with children in the CDC or in schools that are closing.
Phase 2: Personnel living between 7 and 15 miles from their place of duty.
Phase 3: Remaining personnel.

Important Notice for Our Patients: Clinic Access & West Gate Traffic

We want to make you aware of a significant traffic update that might affect your travel to the clinic.

Construction on the new overpass near the West Gate is expected to be completed by February 25, 2026. As the project finishes, please be prepared for updated traffic patterns and new signage in the area.

To ensure you arrive on time for your scheduled appointments, we recommend planning for extra travel time. Please drive safely and remain alert when traveling through the West Gate.

The new overpass near the West Gate is anticipated to open by Feb. 25, 2026.

Drivers should remain alert for ongoing work, updated traffic patterns and signage. Additional updates will be shared as they become available.

NEW: Virtual Urgent Care Now Available for TRICARE Prime (U.S.)

TRICARE Prime beneficiaries (ages 12+) who see a primary care manager at a military hospital or clinic can now access virtual urgent care through the MHS Nurse Advice Line.
If your military clinic is fully booked, call 800-TRICARE and a nurse will assess your symptoms and, if appropriate, schedule a same- or next-day virtual appointment.

Conditions treated include:
Sinus infections, cough, allergies, sore throat, rashes, acne, muscle/joint pain, and headaches.

Virtual visits are documented in MHS GENESIS, and providers can send prescriptions directly to your pharmacy.
This new option improves access, reduces wait times, and helps you get quality care from home.

The Central Dental Laboratory recently showcased its capabilities during an immersion tour with Dr. David Smith, Director of the Defense Health Agency.

During the visit, Dr. Smith toured the laboratory and observed how the team supports the Defense Health Agency’s enterprise-wide mission by producing dental prosthetics and training personnel in support of military treatment facilities across the force.

Q-ANYWHERE PHARMACY SERVICE – ACTIVATE PRESCRIPTIONS FROM YOUR PHONE!

If you’ve been issued a new prescription, you can now activate it from home or work using Q-Anywhere! No need to come into the pharmacy to start the process.

How It Works:
1. Use your phone to activate your new prescription through Q-Anywhere.
2. After submitting your request, you’ll receive text updates from the pharmacy.
3. Prescriptions will be ready for pickup within 2 duty days of activation.
4. Once ready, prescriptions will be held for 10 duty days from the time you receive the “READY FOR PICKUP” notification.

*Requests can only be submitted during normal duty hours.*

**CORRECTION**
The Peterson Dental Clinic will be CLOSED from 12:30 to 4:30 pm on Friday, 30 May 2025 for an official function.

If you are experiencing a dental emergency during normal duty hours, please contact (719) 339-7817.
